Hello Ronald. I usually start by clearing up, throwing out things that just sit there. But I find that the same things, usually the bigger questions, get on the pile "need to be sorted out", so, in effect I get stuck in just moving around piles. Letting go of old life goals (or were they only dreams?) I find hard. What do you think about distinguishing dreams from goals?

Aloha Ron. What has helped me is understanding the why? For example why am I still holding onto grandmom's toothpick holder from the 1960's? It traveled 6000 miles from Delaware to Maui and it sits on a desk holding 3 pencils. Next to it sits a plastic cup full of pens & pencils but I can't stand the thought of it being useless. Attachment that's why it there or more like a soul connection. Its then I realize I will always be connected to my grandmom. So out went the toothpick holder along with with a bunch of stuff or dare I say soul attachments. Books that are helping me on MY journey The Total Money Makeover Dave Ramsey The Purpose Driven Life Rick Warren The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Stephen R Covey The Shift: from Ambition to Meaning Dr. Wayne Dyer These are the most pivotal books I've read in teaching me Integrity Intention & Discipline. Much love & laughter💞🌈

Less phone time. Too many distractions on there. No social media or very rarely. I find that I am happier and don’t feel the F.O.M.O. I notice that once I start, I keep on checking back, so yeah.. no more for me. Growing my faith.

I recently picked up the book Boundaries and it has been very empowering. I thought I was pretty good with my limits, but the book actually revealed how much work was still needed. It has been empowering and since I now have "permission" to say NO and not allow others to trample me, I find I am enjoying life so much more and accomplishing so much more. I feel like I can more clearly see my purpose and identify my goals

💡 “Whatever we consciously chose to focus on, we’re also categorizing that thing as important.” 💡 This is the brutal truth whether we want to acknowledge it or not. Wherever we place our thoughts and actions - that is what we are really deeming as a priority. Thank you as always for the great content 😊🙌

It’s hard to get over that fear lol!! But yeah, if I stay in alignment with my highest self-highest goals/capabilities, it gets easier-that includes letting a lot of stuff, mental, emotional and yes, physical, go back to where it can be transmuted into a higher form of energy or another use for someone else in the physical world. That’s my weakest FOMO moment, in giving up stuff lol

Another great video. When I was younger I spent a lot of time on things which ultimately didn't improve my life. Now, at sixty, when there are more years behind me than in front, my goals are crystallized and I'm very discriminating with what I spend time on and who I spend it with.

First off I’ve been a minimalist all my life. I enjoy this lifestyle because it gives me the time to prioritize things in my life that really matters. Being a minimalist also allows me to reflect on the little things in life and how not to take life for granted. It allows me to focus on the things I need and not the things I want. Sometimes we have to prioritize wants over needs.

I just found for me that i dont need all the answer cause i realize is simple. Keep calm, meditate and think that we only live ones. We yet dont know if afterlife is real. If theres a chance that we can live after we die. So there is one thing. Enjoy your life amd make it simple

I found your videos about two years ago but never really realised a lot of the importance in what you’re saying. I can blame childish youth (I’m only 17 now) but I feel like starting off my movement into adulthood with such sound thoughts and patterns will be fairly helpful. I’ve started on my journey to minimalism, and it feels amazing. I don’t want anything I don’t have use for, and I’ve been able to replace these objects with things I’ve really been missing- self confidence, the ability to be honest with myself, and discipline. Thank you for helping me on my journey =D

Do you have a video on core values ?

  • @RonaldLBanks

I don’t have a video on my channel specifically about core values, but I talk about them a lot throughout the majority of my videos. If you’re new to my channel (welcome!) you’ll hear me talk about them a lot. I do however have an episode on the clutterbug podcast all about core values. This is a great conversation to dive into if you want to hear me discuss core values and how to use them when decluttering. Here’s a link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/X4R8zY9pcrfKe9I.htmlsi=PgkVdfGWdewDd7AC Additionally, few free resources you can checkout: 1. Downloading my free core values worksheet. This worksheet will help you identify your core values: www.ronaldlbanks.com/values 2. The Clarity Club: my free weekly newsletter. I often talk about the importance of core values and how to use them throughout your life.

Do you perform spoken word poetry? I feel like this whole video is one long poem with your tone and cadence.

Hi! Do you mean for your videos to sound like spoken word or is that just how you talk? I have been trying to figure this out for weeks! 🤯

Yes I intentionally insert spoken word into my videos at times, partly because I’m a poet but also because I’m always looking for new and different ways to explain ideas and concepts. The metaphor I use may be the trigger that resonates with someone and gives them something the think about in relation to their own life and unique journey.
