The WPS1 is not longer available anywhere, what would you do instead?

Hello Mark I am considering purchasing the DNP printer with the wps 1 but I have a question for you. I do a lot of events at outdoor venues where there is no access to Internet at all my only way to access the Internet in order to use the social media capabilities of simple booth and live booth is my connecting my iPads to my cell phones hotspot. My question is if I were to purchase the wps 1 you mentioned it would generate a wifi signal in order to connect my iPad to it but if I were to connect to it via wifi I would no longer have Internet access on my iPads anymore is that correct? Because I cannot be connected to both my hotspot and the wps 1 at the same time and since there is no internet access at these venues therefore there is no Ethernet cord for me to hook onto the wps1. Do you have any suggestions on how I can be connected to my hotspot and also be able to use a professional dye sub printer at the same time?

+Yamileth Cabrera Hi Yamileth! Yes, the WPS-1 requires a hardwired ethernet connection to have internet access. If you are printing only and do not need social media then you can use it on its own - it generates its own Wi-Fi network. Plugging it into an ethernet connection gives that same Wi-Fi network internet access. We also off a way to print to a dye-sub printer through a computer and Printopia. There aren't really options without having a connection to WiFi and Internet.

With the WPS-1, when you say the first time you print, there will be a slight delay. Does that mean that the first time you print each new picture, or just the very first time you use it for that session (meaning a 4 hour night)?

Hi James, this does refer to the first print for the session and not all of the prints during the same event.

Do you have a set up to were you use the iPad app and touch screen but use a dslr attachment and printing at the same time?

Hello! At this time, Simple Booth apps work on any iPad model running iOS 11 or later. We just recommend using a device with the best front facing camera that you can.

Can you use the canon printer as well as have the text to phone option together or will the wifi connection to the printer disable the SMS option.

Hey Mikey, you can print and text at the same time with our apps! In order to do this, you'll have to set your printer and iPad up onto the Internet network you want to use, and as long as you're connected to the internet you will be able to share to social media.

Hey Mark, I'm getting ready to purchase your app but I want to test everything out first. I'm having trouble with the printer. I'm using my personal HP Office Jet Pro 6830 (just for tests) and it is hooked up to my macbook with Printopia but my Ipad still cannot locate the printer. The ipad finds the printer just fine when I have the wifi on, but if the wifi is off than it cannot locate the printer, even with my mac and printopia running. Any suggestions?

+Breakdown916 Wi-Fi is how AirPrint communicates, so you need to have Wi-Fi. Wi-fi can exist without an internet connection, such as if you bring a router without a modem and turn it on. Then your devices can communicate with each other.

Does the macbook need to be on an internet connection or wi-fi to run printopia and have everything talk to each other or can it simply be on and wired to the printer?

Hi Robert, yes you do need to have some sort of wifi connection to make the connection with the iPad! This doesn't necessarily mean you need to be connected to the internet. Hello... I´ve seen the video and i need to print wifi from an Ipad to a DNP. Since the printer is not wifi, what about connect it via a USB cable?... this means, buying a Lighting cable to USB? Would that make an Ipad capable to print into that DNP Printer? I mean, it is just how you would print from any PC/MAC setup right? I just wonder if the IPAD would make it possible, Do you know anything?

will simple booth now work with the wps 1. I purchase the unit and it wouldn't work at that time have they updated it . haven't checked it lately.

Hi Dan--because we had been integrated our HALO software with the WPS-1 in the past, we are still maintaining that integration. Please know that we are not integrated with the WPS-Pro model that replaced the WPS-1. Event Edition was not compatible with the WPS devices in the past and we don't plan to make changes to that in the future.

Can someone tell me how to reprint your simple booth photos to your slephy. I had two occasions were the simple booth app close down and the pictures that where in queue didn’t print and every time I try to reprint them they either zoom in or comes out very small . I am doing the 2x6 strips.

I have a new IPad Pro and a DNP 620 with all new software updates with a MacBook Pro. My WiFi is on the same network and it says it is connected but will not print! It just buffers. I have the simple booth event edition! What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jason, sorry to see you're having trouble! We're familiar with the printing disruption that was introduced with iOS 12, but since it sounds like you use Printopia, you should be able to update your Printopia program and overcome the problem. Hello, the VPS-1 server is no longer being printed. Tell me, what are the opportunities for printing from Simple Butch to the printer DNP 620? Is there a random print server with AirPrint support in order to do without a computer? 2. Will the program send digital photos to the Internet when turned on to the local network without the Internet but when you turn on your own modem?

You can see the print server options that will work with our app here in our help center: help.simplebooth.com/printing/printer-basics-and-setup/how-can-i-print-with-a-dye-sublimation-printer If you are using the app offline, the app will queue your uploads and send the digital copies out as soon as you reconnect to the internet, so you are definitely able to use a LAN network without disrupting the uploads: help.simplebooth.com/sharing/general/how-does-the-offline-upload-queue-work

I'm gathering that Apple hasn't created a way to hardwire a printer to an iPad? I'm wondering if using a Lightning cable to USB adapter would allow usage for more printers. Seems more reliable. Even though you'd lose social network capabilities

Unfortunately you're correct that printing from iPads is still going to be wireless-only. Hello Mark. I have a question. In the past when I have been in photo booths it says to start, then it takes 4 pictures, then it automatically prints 4 pictures on one sheet. Can that be the settings placed on this program? Of course with the people in the picture not being able to change anything.

Hi Benjamin! In a case like that we recommend using a printer that creates it's own WiFi network to print to. As seen in this video, the Canon Selphy CP1200 and WPS-1 both offer this functionality.

Hi Mick, our apps will only work with the built in cameras in the iPad, which is part of our mission to keep things simple! The cameras on the newer iPad Pro has been greatly improved, so it's ideal to use one of those for your booth if you can.

Hey Andrew, we also recommend some printers here that will print in as little as 15 seconds! The faster printers aren't a practical solution for all of our customers, which is why we recommend a variety of options to meet all needs!
