I’m not going to sell my treats but I learned from trying to diy these for years, why everyone is so “expensive”. It’s definitely worth it but out of my budget 🤣

I am new to this business and have been listening to your videos for quite a while to see how you choose your products and decorate. Then, I thought I would like to start a small business doing these because it is what everyone likes. I started with cupcakes on my own just to get back to baking and started baking them for my fiancé's place of work. I thought that a cupcake was a single serving rather than baking a cake first. It's like having my own R & D Department. lol Before long the men started asking for them to be made rather then waiting for a special occasion and they were specific as to what flavor and decorations they were looking for. Now, I am listening to your breakdown as how to price which always has been something that stopped me from doing anything, but your explanation is simple to understand. What I would suggest is that the music in the background be turned down a bit because it overpowers your voice and since your are explaining how you have figured out pricing, I would love hear you with more of the music as background. You are very generous with your experience and I very much appreciate the time you are taking to help us. Thank you Cristine

Not all people but some might say things like that and it is so important to always remember not only the costs etc but your "worth". If that particular person won't pay, another will. You've given a lot of great tips. If I stay in this country, I plan on opening a home based bakery specializing in cookies and cake pops but will also take special orders for cupcakes and cakes. Why do bakers times by 3? If I multiple the cost of what it takes to make each item by 3 should I be adding labor on top of that?

Hello, i think this is going to be really beneficial for anyone who wants to get into this business. It was hard calculating all this for one recipe for me so it’ll be so awesome to have a digital template or calculator to help. I don’t have a business yet, but I’m considering it and doing lots of research. I do have few questions: 1. do you include the taxes you paid for all the items? After all, California charges a lot. But I also know that not all items get charged. 2. I don’t think you went over the packaging and shipping, also if you have to ship them with dry ice or not. let me know if I missed this from the video. 3. For the utilities, how did you come up with $8? Was this a calculation based on your utility bill per hour or is this a standard price you’ve already determined?
