Window condensation is a common problem. It can be caused by a number of factors, You can prevent window condensation with these simple tips:
To prevent window condensation, open the windows and doors during the day and when there is no rain or snow in the forecast. This will help to keep indoor spaces from feeling stuffy and damp.
There are a few ways to lower the humidity in your home. A dehumidifier can help, and a humidifier can help as well.
Fans will circulate warm air throughout your home, preventing condensation from forming on windows.
When it's cold outside, open windows to let warm air in, and when it's hot outside, close windows to keep heat in.
Apply a thin layer of a water repellent to the glass surface of your windows to prevent condensation from forming.
Replace your window caulking to ensure that your windows are properly sealed and won't allow moisture to enter into the room. Use silicone caulk for maximum efficiency and durability.
If you live in a cold climate and your windows are prone to condensation, you should install storm windows and replace single-pane glass panes with double-pane glass panes. This will help keep warm air in and cold air out and reduce heating costs.
If you see condensation on several windows in your home, it might be a sign that your heating/cooling system isn't working properly or that the weather outside is cold and humid.
If there is rot or warping around your windows, you may need to replace the frame itself.
If you have older windows that are not able to withstand moisture, it may be time for a replacement.
You can reduce the amount of humidity in your home by using a dehumidifier and running fans in basements and attics.
Place a humidifier near a window where the warmest air rises, such as near the top of a staircase.
Seal up your house's envelope to prevent moisture migration. Seal around windows and doors to prevent leaks that lead to condensation.
Window condensation can be prevented by keeping your windows well sealed and by using a moisture-reducing fluid or installing storm windows.

Storm windows over double pane glass and we still get condensation, your house is too well sealed. Dehumidifiers can't keep up. Opening up windows and doors in the Winter is an invitation for your Heater to perk up and start running. if you cool your house too much, water will condense on glass. no home is immune from condensation

If condensation is limited to a couple of inches of moisture along the bottom of your windows in the morning, dry the moisture off with a sponge or cloth. Then put some washing up liquid on a cloth or paper towel and wipe the liquid onto the glass along the bottom of the window. Cover an area slightly bigger than where your condensation usually appears. It will look like smears on the glass when first applied, but as it dries it looks clear. Moisture will not form on the glass as the washing up liquid forms a barrier. It really does work. You only need a small amount of liquid, just enough to see it on the glass before it dries.

Charcoal and dehumidifier bags can help. Cleaning windows with shaving cream has a rain x effect.

Pretty much pain in the ass, just put a rag lay it across the window so water doesn't damage the sheetrock, wood or whatever material on the window.
