Doctor, I have G6PD deficency. I was hospitalized due to hemolyic anemia after being given DMSO intravenously. I also had a terrible allergic reaction from even local anesthetic for dental work. My face was swollen for almost two weeks. i also have Chronic Bronchitis. Should I take the Vaccine? I sometimes take a steriod called Relvar which is pulled in through your mouth. No risk with Covidshield. Orb. Pseudotumor does not usually need steroids for such a long term. Pls seek a second opinion and consult a docor.

Apollo Spectra thank you so much for your feedback... in the past while I was gradually reducing my prednisolone dose, and I was able to bring my prednisoline dose upto 2.5 mg dose a day but 2.5 mg only supported me with only one month and after one month the swelling recurred and than I was again started with 55 mg a day and again gradually reducing my dose and now from last one year I am taking only 5mg dose a day and this time I am afraid to reduce it to 2.5mg because if it recurred like last time than I have to take high dose again and in this time of pandemic it look dangerous to start steroid with high dose. So, can you please advice me that if I can take covidshield vaccine and also continue my prednisolone (steroid) medicine with 5mg? Thanks in advance

Go for a blood test then consult a doctor. Try to get blood glucose, HbA1c, CBC, LFT atleast. Try to ask doctor if any other test would be necessary.

If possible, do a nerve conduction study and get his sugar levels checked. It might be autonomic neuropathy, so get him checked for that. He can take medication like pregabalin or duloxetine. In his case, unrest and insomnia is present, so Duloxetine is better.
