How to prevent a washing machine from vibrating...Part 3

www.VideoJoeKnows.com Repairing a vibrating washing machine (Part 3) is easy, when you know how. There's a few things involved, to repair a vibrating &/or walking washing machine. A walking washing machine is what happens when a washing machine vibrates & moves around on the floor & doesn't stay in one position. When repairing a moving &/or vibrating washing machine, it is recommended that not only should you level out the washing machine, but you should also do THIS. You might think you just couldn't possibly repair the washing machine yourself, but "joe" seems to think you can. Watch this short video series & see if you can't repair the vibrating washing machine yourself. An appliance service tech would go through the same motions as this, in order to see if these repair steps will stop you washing machine from moving & vibrating all over the place. Why not do this repair yourself, & save some money. If your washing machine repairs don't work....THEN would be the time to call out the big boys & spend that money!!

    Ha! This was part three sop I take it you decided to not watch the first two parts where I show more of the project & why I ended up using these things & how to go about fixing a crooked washing machine? You will get those 10 minutes back just by watching those other two parts since your washing machine will be happy with you once you prevent it from moving all over the place anymore & vibrating itself apart. She will thank you for sure!

    Sorry the pads did not work but I checked with my Auntie after I got done & she said everything was working fine. You could have issues with something else going on in your washing machine causing excessive vibrations like a worn drum or bearing or maybe your legs are not adjusted properly or your floor is not flat. Numerous other things that could be causing the vibration pads not to work on your washing machine but not always the case for others. Thanks for your comments though!

    my Samsung front loader washer sits on top of factory pedestals. The top of the machine is level in every way but it still vibrates like hell during a spin cycle. That used to not be the case 3-4 months ago in my old apartment. What could be the problem?

  • @VideoJoeKnows

    @VideoJoeKnows

    9 жыл бұрын

    Annie Baig I'm not sure as it could have something to do with your belt that controls the spin cycle or something within the housing area that needs to be replaced. Could be a few different things. You could call an appliance service tech & have him come out & look at it but chances are they will charge you for the service call. They then should be able to determine the cause of the vibrating & figure out what can be done. This could in fact be cheaper than replacing your dryer especially if your dryer isn't very old. I would think it will only get worse before it gets better. Sorry I can't tell you exactly what the issue may be. Let me know what happens. Thanks for your message! Joe :0

Same with me, while my home was being remodeled, took washer 7 dryer to the new rental, yes, those 'stays or whatever you call them were put in during the move, and when we re installed the washer back at the house, it later started walking....and its been walking no matter how many times I adjust those casters on the bottom, no more front loaders for me. Can you remove the front drawer? Then you can get under there & adjust the level if need be & you can use a flatbar/crow bar or something & pry the legs up or the center of the back then put a shim next to the feet then put the dampers on the back & wedge up & take out the shims & lower. Now do the same things for the front. Will that work for your style of washing machine? Hope so. Joe :0

    I showed the additional videos in case a viewer (not you in this case) should need the additional assistance to assure them that they can do it too. Ha! Had I made a quick video to show how the washing machine moved around prior to installing the pads, the video series would be that much longer......as well as making another video on how well the vibration pads were working. I can tell you however, that I went back over there over 9 months later, & the washing machine was still in the same position as when I left! The important thing to realize is to make sure the washing machine is nice & level both directions....or the washing machine may still have a tendency of moving around. Thanks for taking time out to comment on this video. Much appreciated! Joe :0

    Don't waste your time on these pads, if your machine is vibrating aggressively these pads will do nothing. You either have too much laundry in your machine, the machine is out of level, the damper pads are worn out, or there's a problem with your shocks (if equipped with such). Not a guarantee that your washing machine won't still move after putting this rubber pads under it but it's worth a shot. The important thing though is to make sure the washing machine is nice & level front to back & side to side. If you don't do this, the pads won't do much good.
