Not sure but Vellore is unlikely to be an exam center for CAT. However, there are many other centers in Tamil Nadu - Chennai; Coimbatore; Madurai; Namakkal; Thanjavur; Tiruchirappalli; Tirunelvelli.

Correction - we came to know today that Vellore, Tamilnadu has a CAT exam center. Some of our students attempted the exam there in 2023.

Hello. Students are eligible to write the CAT exam in their final year. If your son plans to start his MBA immediately after completing UG then we would suggest starting prep at least one year in advance which means they will have to start when they are in their pre-final year. Starting a year in advance will give them a good amount of time to master basics which is very important for CAT.

Should I join Tapmi Manipal or should i retake cat next year.

Depends on your B-school goals, career goals and your profile. TAPMI is a decent B-school and can provide avenues for building a good career. However, if your goal is a Tier 1 B-school and you have the motivation to work hard for CAT again preferably with a job in hand, you can consider reattempting in 2024.
