You live in very very different conditions from a raspberries natural habitat. Hell the seeds cant even grow if you put them in the ground where you live since they need a winter to grow. Thats more than enough reason to not plant them to me when you have so many better options! Stop wasting your money and try growing a native or tropical fruit instead that will have infinitely more luck. Plenty of other options so stop fixating on raspberries please. Just like I shouldn’t plant a lemon tree in my yard in the north, you shouldn’t be messing with raspberries.

They need high nitrogen try adding blood meal to your soil and watering. And in Texas I know the heat make sure they are partly shaded

​@@nicoledeberry1155U planted 3 rasp bushes in ground this year. They seem to be doing ok but still quite small. I will add some blood meal to help them out.

Here in Oregon we can't get rid of them they grow like weeds

I planted mine like you said and it is dieing. 😢 mine wasn't that big, it was good size though. I didn't have pine bark mulch can't find it in Missouri. It has been in the 90s here though. I put it in the shade

What time of year would you recommend tip rooting

Ppppppsssst, never buy raspberry plants just got find one for free since they are literally everywhere in some parts of the US
