As a former exchange student - I feel you! I had to do the same thing for a year and did several edits to make it all fit. Also roll everything instead of folding flat; always works!

Roll instead of fold... hadn't thought about that with the compression cubes but am def gonna give it a try with my next (+ last!) practise pack!

Check out the channel cheap rv living, you will find lots of useful tips such as: dont pack your soft squishy clothes in hard edged boxes. Pack them in bags (or packing cubes) that squish into odd spaces You can get zip up cushions and stuff them with your off season gear (or would those packing cubes be comfy?) Laundry and what to pack advice Lots of other vanlife advice And i dont know if bob ever said it but i wouldnt pack actual jamies. Id have an extra shorts and tank top, and leggings and long sleve top, comfy enough to sleep in but respectable enough to pop to the shops in.

ooh good recommendation, thank you! And like the tip on jammies... hadn't thought of that but makes total sense. Why waste the space on those when you can have a whole extra outfit.
