Today I performed Triaxail UU Test at lab, saw everything for the first time so couldn't grasp what is happening. saw this video and understood at least what all was the equipment and how to place the sample in the Triaxial Chamber.

Lateral filter drains are not compulsory for testing, however they can be useful for speeding up the testing process. Please refer to the relevant standard for more information.

In 1:03 there is a hint. Effective stress test = CD or CU.

Also, he’s using saturated porous discs so he’s allowing for travel of gas and water to occur which indicates either CU or CD

In our university, we use condoms instead .

try doing that with a Cu of 20kPa
