My concentration over the past several years has been fingerstyle ukulele and guitar. I love practicing and teaching this area! My first book contains this etude which is easy, accessible and a great way to learn the "straight down" picking pattern. The other pattern addressed is the "every other" pattern. Next up will be "inside out", "outside in" and Travis picking. Sometimes when practicing, it is best to focus on one area of your playing rather than be too scattered and try to work on too many things. When working on your picking, be sure to use proper technique, which we cover a bit in this video.
