How to power KORG Volcas and Elektron products with CIOKS DC7
In this video we measure the actual current draw of KORG Volca Keys, Volca Beats and Volca MIX and show how to power these instruments in different configurations with CIOKS DC7 power supply. A new Flex cable type especially made for KORG Volca units is introduced. It is the #8050 purple Flex cable in 50cm length with a 4.7/1.4mm centre positive DC plug attached. Also in this video as an extra bonus we measure the actual current draw of Elektron Digitakt, Digitone and Analog Heat MKII. We show how to power these instruments with CIOKS DC7 power supply. To power one of these you need two of DC7 outlets plus a combination of #8800 Parallel adapter Flex and a green type 4 Flex cable e.g. the #4050 in 50cm length.

Powering synths off guitar pedal power supplies. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
That's great, figured I could use one my spare Pedal power stations. Oh well just to find some converter cables.
Great video. Can you do the same with JUST a CIOKS 4 expander unit (with standalone DC adapter to power the expander unit) or does this only work with a DC7?
Could you please do a video on the Cioks 4 running off of just USB power ? Thanks!
Where do i buy the cable
I got the purple cable but I can't connect it directly to the power bank. Which cable is the adapter one?
I'm just wondering how much difference an isolated power supply would make if the ground becomes common when pedals/devices are connected via audio cables.
Sorry for the amateur question but If I have a pedal that work 9v 200 ma can I plug 3 pedals in one out ?

Yes, you can. If I get you right. If you have three pedals which each draw 200mA at 9V then yes you can use a 3-way daisy chain to power all three of a single outlet with 660mA current capability.
I was wondering- could one of these be able to power a digitone, digitakt and OT all at once? (With 6 outputs total, 3 pairs)

Not like that. The Octatrack manual lists 2A as the consumption. The Digitone and Digitakt list 1A. This means that you can connect 2 outputs in parallel to get 1.32A capacity, and then use that setup to power the Digitone/Digitakt. You would have to connect three outputs to in parallel to power the Octatrack. That way you could get 1.98A capacity. There is probably some margin of safety included both on the 2A listed for the Octatrack and the 660mA listed on the DC7 that 0.02A difference between 2A and 1.98A doesn't matter much.
Hello, the DC7 is a beast. However im having trouble figuring out how to power the line 6 pod hd500x that requires 2.5 amps. Any help would be great. Thank you

@@ciokspowersuppliesforeffec7533 Thank you for the reply. I've actually seen that video. That's the video that sold me on the DC7 and I immediately ordered one but in that video the backlight of the proccesor doesn't come on and I need that light cause i have horrible vision. Also I'm afraid if I "under-power" the unit, i'll lose tonal qualities. Sorry to bug you but I know this power supply is the one so I'm just trying to get the most out of it. Thank you for your time and creating such amazing products. Patiently waiting for the DC4 :)

If you already are powering the HD500x with two outlets of the DC7 you just have to keep an eye on the LED indicators. As long as one of the two LEDs is lit of those corresponding to the two outlets used you are sure that nothing is underpowered.

@@ciokspowersuppliesforeffec7533 Ok awesome. Just a quick question my friend, Is it possible if i use four outlets of the DC7 to reach the 2.5 amps for the pedal? Or is that a big no no?

What would you need 2.5A for, at which voltage?
any one got any idea if 1 outlet is enough for a Moog Mother32?
Where do I buy these adaptor cables?!?!
Do u sell these? Links? I need power for a couple power supplies
:)
Why so late?:)))
