That, Sir looks amazing. I also have a horsehair broom and use a painters extension pole, and let me say, that I really like that broom and pole. It allows me to get on the slab a little earlier. Thank you for the videos of you amazing work.

Another great video…..even though it seems like a simple job, there still is a lot of figuring out things to do it right….Your narration shows that this is just not mindless grunt work…..I hope YT channels like this inspire the next generation to go into the trades and learn that it can be a rewarding life…..the big money might not be there but it can be a great opportunity……plus I bet it’s like my restaurant days-some of the funniest people I ever knew were chefs…..I’d love to hear of the dumb fuc&ery that goes on in concrete work.__

@@OdellCompleteConcrete for us chefs-the work was hard but the joking and other “activities” made the job so much better….one executive chef who looked like lucky the leprechaun dogged another chef who wore spats to keep his shoes clean….so much more to that story….point is we worked at a high level in a high stress environment but it was so much fun…..
And this would be a good place to send rain water and/or gray water to a buried retention container. Use for watering etc

I always recommend removing existing patios and stoops in cases like this. The color difference will bug most homeowners for years to come. It just winks at you every time you walk out there. Cost difference isn’t that great either.

Builders are so awful. They spend all that time and effort on things that are way too small just so they can say the house comes with that thing. How much more can a larger patio be than a small one.
