Potty training your puppy is easier than you think!
These easy house training/crate training tips will give you a good foundation for avoiding messes from your new puppy.
I think the most important part of potty training your puppy is consistency... so stay strong and be consistent! You've got this! ;)

Thanks so much! Our new baby arrives tomorrow afternoon, a miniature schnauzer we have named "Liesl" after the oldest Von Trapp daughter in the movie "The Sound of Music". We have finished our grieving after losing our 15-year-old Zoey.

When we got her she had a uti how do i start over

The timeline can be different from one dog to the next and their age will factor in as well. You obviously pay good attention to your dog to know their timeline. 🙂
If they pee or poop in the crate, I heard you have to clean and unscent the area. So they won’t get use to it as in marking it. What would I use to clean it? I heard nothing with bleach or ammonia since pee has ammonia in it etc.

You are right; you want to wash the area as soon as you can to get rid of the scent. I use dish soap and water and it works great! I do bleach their bedding when I wash it.
