Hi I started to watch your videos because I may have a Pomeranian on my birthday

Thankyou for the great tips. Right now my 2 Poms go outside but I keep pads near door and they don't really use them too much now that they are over 1 yr. Old. so I'll pick the pads up and leave one only near the door just in case. They do try to let me know they want outside. My male does more frequently than the other female dog. They tend to go sometimes on the kitchen floor while I'm preparing food. They can be sneaky on carpets if I don't pay attention and they are smart and blame it on the other one so I don't know which dog did it! Sometimes the female will poo in her crate overnight but she's getting better and much less. I watch them outside before I go to bed to see she has a chance to poo 💩 before bedtime. I think it takes time. I'm retired and stay home so they are on about a 2-hr schedule to go outside. Luckily our large back double deck gives them space to run and to relieve themselves. Thanks again Your pups are adorable.

Really focus on training the behaviors you want them to master.

I have no problem following your tips but I have to force my husband to be consistent and even try to follow your tips because he doesn’t want to be “cruel”. I do all the grooming and feeding which I don’t mind. That’s what he was like as we raised our daughter 😆 We just got our Millie last week and she’s so fun! Sadly we lost our last one over 2 weeks ago because of a tumor on her heart. She was over 14 years old :(

It’s not cruel at all. At first it takes a little time to get used to but now I can see both my dogs enjoy the extra attention during grooming time.

We use a crate at night only for our Maltipom. She sleeps in there from 10pm-5 or 6am without soiling and yes she barks to go potty outside. However she spends a lot of the day on our deck and backyard with our border collie. She mostly does her business on the lawn like the collie but sometimes in the decking. How do I stop that- I am not home with her all day to catch her in time to direct her to lawn. I do praise her excessively when she goes on the lawn.

Hello I'm new to your channel. I found your channel after we just got our little Pomeranian puppy Tucker. He's a precious little black and white bundle of joy. Since he he has just gotten his first set of shots and no bug protection. I won't let him in the grass yet. Don't want any fleas yet. So we are using Potty Pads for right now. But he has been doing some scratching. So I bought Baby Shampoo. Is that OK?? And how often should I bathe him??? He's just 6 weeks old. He will be in a lot of my KZread videos. I just want to make sure that I'm using the right Shampoo. And should I use Conditioner on him also??? I'm not right now. Didn't know if that's why he's itching??? Just want to get a opinion from another Pomeranian owner.

I wouldn’t use baby shampoo, dog shampoo is a different ph level.

Hi thanks for your tips! My Pomeranian is 3 and still having accidents. I am would like to try your methods. I have a large back yard. He rings the bell at the door to go out to play and potty at the same time. Do you think it is better to take him out harnessed for each potty and not let him to play in back yard until he is trained. I wonder if he is confused about where he should go.

How did you go about pad training to outside ? My Pom is pad trained but I am trying to switch her over to outside any tips?

I have a new 4 month Pomeranian, trying to potty train. But every time I motion to go outside and put her collar or harness on, she wets everywhere. She gets so excited. What can I do to prevent that from happening?

With my first puppy, as soon as we saw him squat we ran and picked him up and went outside. After a while he got the idea of it and we taught him to know the word "outside". Sometimes instead of barking, he'll come sit right in front of us and just keeps staring at us until we take him out. Don't always wait until they need to go. Take them out every few hours saying "outside" or "potty". It worked for us. Good luck.

I just adopted a year old Papillon and she isn’t house trained. She learned how to use the doggy door and pooped & peed outside in her little yard ! Yeah ! Then it rained. She pooped on my bed & I was furious. She peed on the blue pad in the garage but poop ? Nope, no success in the rain.
