    This was great. For all beginners… not just women 😘. I’ve been watching a lot of beginner surfing videos, and this one’s the first I had to comment on coz it was so well done.     I do push ups but my biggest problem is my posture. And I need to get in the water more frecuently.

    Try bending your knees, not bending at the waist. A balance board can be super helpful with this…focus on pulling your hips forward. Building core strength will help too.

    How risky is it to practice the pop up on your board on land? I mean ding wise?

    On a foam board it's fine, just make sure the fins are in the sand. I wouldn't recommend on dry land (only the beach). You can also put your board on your bed with the fins off the other side (or no fins) but with a hardboard I wouldn't practice too much on it. Try using a towel or a yoga mat and mark the shape of your board so you know where your barriers are so you can get the correct positioning.
