How to polish your resin to a high gloss shine.

This is my secret for getting a high gloss shine after you sand your resin peice. It's a really easy process which doesn't take too much time to do and is definitely worth it if your resin peices don't come out with a high gloss shine. Please let me know what you think in the comments.
The polish I use it called hut ultra gloss. Here is the link. www.woodcraft.com/products/hu...
Most sand paper you can get from a big box hardware store. Here is the link for the higher grit sandpaper.

    Thank you! My epoxy resin is supposed to be glossy to begin with, the side facing the mould comes out matte while the side facing and drying in the air comes out perfectly glossy... Does one has to use a specific mould in order for it to come out glossy?

  • @ShivaTD420

    @ShivaTD420

    9 ай бұрын

    Yeah, some molds will give a gloss finish. Depends on the type of mold material and the part that was used to make the negative. Some releasing agents used on the part can also effect the molds texture. You may also find that molds may go more matte over time as they get heavy use or if you cast more abrasive or corrosive compounds like concrete or polyester resin.

    Yes you can, but in this video like he said he is pressing hard to shine, that is because with epoxy you should go up to a even higher gritt not only 3000, after 3k ya should go gritt 5000 6000 8000 10000, and then use the polish, then you will have even a more shine result as this one
