How to polish corrugated stainless exhaust heat shield covers. Evan’s detailing and polishing.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, I show exactly my process on how I polish, corrugated, stainless heat shield covers.
One thing you will notice different right out the gate is that I’m not using my standard 6000 RPM grinder. What I’m actually using is the variable locked in at about 2400 RPM. Why would I use 2400 RPM instead of 6000 RPM? Because the corrugation of these heat shields leaves a possibility for the buff to get caught in it and tear a hole. The 2400 RPM offers me a lot more control while polishing. Running 6000 RPM on these corrugated pieces would definitely add a lot more danger then is already present. I hope you find this video helpful and handy. And I hope I can keep releasing more content that helps you out in the future.

Dear Evan, your videos motivated me a lot and I polished my mild steel rims.I want to clear coat them to protect from rust. There are a lot of clear coat types and I don't know which one to apply. What do you suggest? Thanks.

Is there a reason you went black to green compound instead of black to yellow. Currently doing a rollcage which is a somewhat difficult object and initially i used black to green before but decided to try black to yellow and the shine definitely isnt as good as the black with green. Also was using a red and yellow buff for black and green and red and purple buff when i tried the black and yellow
