The reverse fetch is so interesting, I used to think they were annoyed when you put something under their nose and they did that! Now I know they actually enjoy doing that, maybe I'll do it more!

They ARE annoyed. I used to do that sometimes and it was funny just for me. When you stop, the rabbit doesn't take the "toy" to give it to you like "Hey, do that again !"

I just want to tell everyone, that if you have a bunny like this, we’ll let’s just say” You. Are. Lucky!

One of my favorite ways to engage with my bun is to buy “puzzle boxes” (something as simple as a wooden box with a lid). To challenge her I’ll place small wooden blocks in the box in addition to treats so she has to figure out what the treat is. Favorite memory: she was so proud of herself for opening a box with two treats and a wooden block that she grabs the block and runs. A few minutes later I hear a thump from the closet as she realizes she has the wrong reward. She runs out from the closet and grabs the entire box and runs into the closet with her treats

My bunnies like to play with cups! and yeah I hided some treats then they just grab the cups and run lol so cute

My bunny loves when I do what I call “human binkies” it looks like a high skip , I look so stupid when I do it but it gets her so excited and then she’ll reciprocate and binky after me . My bunny also strangely really likes being chased and tickled, I know this because I read her body language and once I tickle her she binkys and does zoomies, she doesn’t seem afraid at all and will even look back at me to make sure I’m still “chasing her” and I do it very slow on floor level. I don’t recommend play chasing with your bunny until they get fully comfortable with you and do not see you as a threat. The last thing you want to do is trigger they’re prey instinct and get genuinely scared. My bunny is so funny, I’m so grateful for her. Some days she won’t stop bugging to me to play! And it makes me sad cause I wish I could hang out and play with her all day , but she doesn’t understand 🥺 great video Lorelei! ♥️

Marshal(1.5 years old) loves treat balls, stacking cups, and the modular jungle gym I call my office. Basically there are boxes, carboard tubes, curtains, empty shelves, bags of hay and more for him to explore and discover. When he gets bored with something, or chews the cardboard too much, I change it up and he gets to explore a "new" area. I set up my work from home office this way so that he is never alone and if he wants love or attention while I am working, he can just jump into my lap.

I recently got a bunch of ikea delivered and my bun had an absolute whale of a time running around and investigating the giant boxes. (And chewing them) he gets so active and curious anytime something in the house changes.

I hold up and wiggle my bunnies’ blanket like I’m a bull fighter and the bunny gets so excited she oinks and runs through the blanket and will turn back and do it again, just like a bull 😄 So cute! It’s their favourite game!

My rabbit has a lot of space in the garden. What me and my bunny like to do is binky and do zoomies together. I will start jumping and running about and then he joins in with me. Bunnies are such loving and curious creatures🐰💗😊

Do rabbits do well in gardens? Like the grass or patio outside?

@@aria5532 Bunnies love to adventure around new areas. Gardens are great because there are different materials like grass and stone for them to explore. But please check that all plants in the garden are not harmful to bunnies. And fence up any cracks or spaces, so that they can’t run away or nothing else can come in. 🐰💗🥕

I do the reverse fetch, tickling, blanket game, and binkies with my bunny all the time! I had no idea that other bunny parents did this too! So much fun 🥰🐇

Teaching your rabbits tricks is just like doing so with dogs! I was able to teach my rabbit many tricks with the help of treats. Peach, my rabbit, is so food motivated just like other rabbits. 💜 (the tricks I taught her: circle, stand, paw, kiss[on my nose], hand licks and chase [she chases me around and hides under my legs, then she begs for a treat])

Lol mine is good motivated too. I got her to do the turn around thing. It took her a while to understand the rolly toy but eventually she got it, the hoops looks fun to teach her and a little simple so maybe another one

I love to play that chase game. We got a tunnel for her to do zoomies in and I'll hop over the tunnel. Sometimes she hops over the tunnel too. Lol

One of my rabbits is blind. but he still astounds me when navigating around his home. he knows the direction from the plum tree in his pen to the ramp to his house if he is in a hurry, even though most of the time he will follow the fence around. he is also the most relaxed bunny I have owned.

@@nhlredwingsfan I don't think his hearing is great as when I use the line trimmer to mow his run I always have to move him out of the way when I get to the bit he is sitting in LOl. He is a rescue bunny, so guess he is thankful of a nice home.

Aww, I used to love playing Reverse Fetch with my Ozzy. He also loved knocking things off the couch and see where they fell. My Lulu is a funny boy. I was tearing off the plastic top of the hay bag and he went nuts chasing after it. Now, whenever I start a new bag of hay he gets the fun of chasing after the top for a little bit. Anytime I plunk down something new for him he is so adorably curious. Whether it’s a finished paper towel roll, paper bag, or that molded cardboard that holds a something in place in a box, the second it hits the floor the ears go forward and he comes out to see what I gave him. My Sophie is more discrete. She only plays with toys when she is playing keep away from husbun, Lulu, or occasionally when the futon cover dangles in front of her nose she’ll play with that for a bit, licking and tugging it. Three buns, three different personalities of play, all so dang cute. 🥰

this is so cute!! i have 2 buns and with the younger one we like to run around together like i’d run to the other side of the room and he’ll run after me and that over and over again, and with my older bun i do the same thing but she’s almost a senior so she’s not into that much running but when i call her by her name or maybe clap and she’d hear me and immediately come to me, its honestly so so cute ❤️

i would hide treats in the baby stacking cups for my netherland dwarf to go searching for. My wife got a kick out of watching him throw those stacking cups around. It really is funny to see. They can get very enthusiastic about it. My lionhead mix rabbit does it too.

Another toy that keeps her busy over multiple days, is to fill a y-shaped cat tunnel with loosely scrunched balled-up newspaper. In a few newspaper balls, I'll put a small piece of dried apple. It takes her a 1-3 days to find them all (and dried apple doesn't spoil if it takes her longer). Lastly, this isn't a "game", but it's cute. Her favourite green food is parsley, so I keep a tall square container of washed parsley in water (like a vase of flowers) in the bottom shelf of the fridge door. She knows it's there and begs for parsley almost every time I open the fridge. Sometimes when I'm busy getting stuff out of the bottom shelves, she sneaks in, reaches up and performs a "parsley heist", and takes off as quickly as she can!

That is so insensitive of him. But invite him over and show him what bunnies are about, and you might change his mind. Whatever ppl wanna eat bunnies for, I really don't know and think it's pure ignorance for once you know them, who would want to eat them 🤕🤕😭😭

I have learned so much from your channel I love passing on the information to others who are clueless. After watching your videos for a long time I decided to go get a bunny. I started him out in a play pin. Funny thing is I thought he was a girl. Found out I was wrong at the vet. Anyways I learned how to properly treat bunny’s and care for them. Lunar my bunny is now able to free roam the whole bunny proofed house. He also knows his name and I’m trying to get him to learn a trick. Thank you for caring so much about bunnies I love my baby so much and I’m so happy you are so passionate about what you do because know I am too.

This was so helpful!! I like to scatter feed treats for my buns but also hide them throughout their room - in their hideyhouse, their tunnel, under toys, etc. so they have to hunt for them a little. They find them all every time!

My bun LOVES “reverse fetch”, and “tug of war”. Great video! Thanks, Lennon (and Lorelei……..).

The best bunny game is this: Take a smallish brown paper bag. Put a handful of treats inside Blow the paper bag up like you would a balloon and twist close the end. Toss the bag to your bunny. Now watch your bunny play with it, run around with it, toss it in the air, bite into it. Perhaps the first time the bunny will be a little slow but as they get into the idea this enrichment never disappoints.

if you ever get a hold of one again, immediately call a wildlife rescue please! They'll know what to do and the rabbit is more likely to survive.

You have been an invaluable source of information for me and my new bunny and Spreckles and I would just like to give our sincere thanks to you and Lennon for making us safe and happy and giving us great information ! As there are so many varying tips on the internet about how to take care of a rabbit , I find yours are spot on correct every time. The fact that you give us some pros and cons just makes me laugh because we go through the same things here!
