How To Play Weiss Schwarz ! - EASY GUIDE FOR BEGINNERS !

In this video I will teach you how to play Weiss Schwarz by using the official tutorial video on their official youtube channel while commenting and adding in things that are not explained fully and are somewhat overlooked. What I recommend you do is have a trial deck on hand while watching with me and simulate the card game while we learn so that you get the motions into practice so when you play an actual game you are able to learn it more easily. This video is a bit long but I promise it will be worth it!

    Great detailed breakdown of the game. Your video is one of many that actually spends the time to clarify Weiss. Without using the ridiculous jargon that no new player would ever understand, i to this day don’t get why people make “how to” videos and think it’s okay to use advanced terms that take months to a year to really start to understand. Maybe they think it’s cool to use terms that they know others don’t understand, but completely counter intuitive to a beginners video. You sir deserve a Weiss Schwarz medal. Thumbs up and a follow for your hard work 🤙

    Thank you I appreciate the kind words ! I wish this wasn’t one hour long but I really couldn’t find a better way to explain it in a way that was understandable without running it through in depth and explaining why things happen the way they do lol . And this isn’t even including going over like abilities and effects of individual cards 🤣. Even after playing the game I feel all the terms are pretty pointless like calling certain effects like BANKAI RIKI INUYASHA or whatever , when you can just easily say mill 4 draw 2 or something lol

    Out of all tcgs I've played like yugioh, mtg or pokemon I honestly feel like weiss is one of the "easiest" to pick up and very straightforward while still having "depth" to it for those that seek it. I think the biggest hurdle for this game revolves around finding a good group of people to play it with, since building decks also requires you to "invest in a playset/series" which could potentially be very very powercrept.

    AOT final is a great deck to start with ! I was gonna make a video on my deck as well. The finisher level 3 Eren is actually a great starter finisher to learn with since it works really well and isn't complicated to pull off ( just needs him and his climax ). Consider looking at the season 1 and season 2 cards to add into the deck as well !

    36:24 did the climax triggered one Soul cause they draw a card with a soul or how did got the climax triggered ? ah think i get it nvm

  • @peanutbutterpandapuffs

    @peanutbutterpandapuffs

    2 жыл бұрын

    Imma answer this anyways just in case ! The Climax GAVE the one extra soul because they PLAYED the climax for the turn, its a bit weird since they went to a tutorial about leveling up and then changed the whole board back to the battle again lol. But pretty much since they played the climax ( could be different, some climaxes effect is like 2 extra soul for one turn for example ), But in this case Meliodas gives +1 soul and +1000 attack to all your characters for one whole turn. I hope I explained it well enough! I tried to break down every turn just so it gives enough examples. But yea if you get confused, can go back to just start fresh from the turn again. Playing a climax is before you do the battling and it applies the effect for the whole battle. Then when you battle , you always count how much soul in total by checking on a list 1) Your Characters base soul damage ( on the bottom of the card ) 2) Your Climax effect ( if you played one ) 3 ) If its a direct attack and Lastly 4 ) When you TRIGGER CHECK. and FLIP OVER THE TOP CARD OF YOUR DECK "Triggering" is always when you attack and flip one card over to reveal if you get the extra soul or not, , as well as if you reveal the climax as a trigger , you get the special effect as well too if it has one.

    What happens if you attack a reversed character? For instance Momon from overlord gets a once per turn attack again. Also what is the benefit of spending your opponent's character?

  • @peanutbutterpandapuffs

    @peanutbutterpandapuffs

    7 ай бұрын

    Technically in weiss youre not attacking the character again you're just swinging in your lane again, I would just think of it that way. Even though they are reversed you can attack again in the lane , BUUUUUUT it doesn't count as direct attack since the enemy is still there. So you just regular attack and don't get any bonuses just because they are reversed. As for the benefit of attacking again ? just doing more damage and pushing them further to the next level and towards the end of the game , or aiming for things like a deck refresh etc.

  • @OdinMagnus

    @peanutbutterpandapuffs does their power count? For instance one of the Ainz replaces himself with a Death Knight that might be weaker do I still have to beat the opponents character to not get reversed?

  • @OdinMagnus

    @OdinMagnus

    7 ай бұрын

    @peanutbutterpandapuffs oh, I just noticed one thing that's incorrect. When you refresh your deck, if it's from the 3 damage like you said, you clock the top card Before you continue to take damage, not after. It's in the comprehensive rules and in the booklet that comes with the trial decks.

    Most of the time if you’re not sure the answer is is probably no . Unless you’re really desperate like scenarios where maybe you really need it for the climax combo at the end of the game . Or if maybe if you’re in a tight spot ? Like you just can’t draw any playable cards no matter what . But most of the time you’ll realize if you try reviving cards . It’s too costly most of the time to be worth ot

    @@asianwingsauce Yea even if its my Turn 1 or 2 and my climax is buried in that first stock, I still found it kind of detrimental to try to force pay it out with an encore. LOL , uhh i did see the irony when I posted it that I said easy and noticed it was an hour. I think I could have easily just did the basics and not went over the details, but I mainly made the video because I felt like a lot of the finer details are glazed over and explained in a way too convoluted of a way for just regular idiots like me to understand
