    Part 3, movement phase here - kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3Wt2pqTcrusnrQ.html CORRECTION / DISPUTED THING: - When I said 'use highest leadership' for combined units I meant 'use best leadership'. Seems I'm still getting used to low leadership being a good thing! - There's currently a bit of uncertainty regarding when 'end of command phase' abilities happen. The main 'command' section implies other rules that occur in the command lhase should happen then, but this conflicts with certain specific rules saying that they happen at the END of the phase (implying after battleshock). I'd personally play it as 'end of phase ' but it's not impossible GW FAQ it otherwise in the future. I think it's genuinely unclear currently.

    @@Contractkillamax - They have been balanced since their release. Not sure if you have tried them since, but they are way less oppressive now (end of 9th edition). They are looking decent in 10th, but not oppressive. Overall, 10th rules look thematic and fun - but I guess point values will determine how balanced everything is.

    Auspex Tactics, I just want to say you are a LIVING LEGEND! I don't know whether you're producing all these awesome videos solo or if you have a team, but I want to thank you for this awesome channel! I'm also a newer 40k player returning to play in 10th. I greatly appreciate these starter videos! I think they're very well presented in an easy-to-follow format. You avoid using a lot jargon or assumed knowledge of the viewer. You approach these teaching videos as if the viewer is more or less a blank slate, which is often true for many coming into this hobby! In addition to this series, I greatly enjoy your other videos. I like your very logical, unbiased, and fair reporting and commentary. I also get a kick out of your jokes! I just want to say "thank you" for your videos.

    It's not a guarantee yet that it happens after battleshock, the wording In part 1 isn't very good and needs clarification. So we really don't know if RP happens in part 1 since it says all command abilities happen in this part, or if it happens at the end of part 2. It can be read either way and it needs day 1 FAQ.

    It's not really clear. Intuitively, "the end of your Command Phase" should be *after* the Battleshock Step. But, the leaked rules for the Command Phase repeatedly states that *any* rules that occur in the Command Phase must be resolved *before* the Battleshock Step. This would include RP.

    Your explanation of when "end of phase" rules happen doesn't align with the leaked rules. They repeatedly state to "..resolve **any** other rules that occur in the Command Phase.." *before* moving on to the Battleshock Step. Confusing and maybe unintuitive? Sure. But like 30% of the rules text for the Command Phase is just GW repeating this statement. Hopefully, there will be a day 1 FAQ to clarify this.

    When you say "highest" value for the battle-shock test, if i had a skitarii marshal lead a squad of skitarii rangers for example, rangers have LD stat of 7+ and marshal has 6+ and when i roll, do i have to roll a 7+ because its highest as in worse, or a 6+ as in "better higher"? and does the marshal also get affected by the battle-shock or do i roll for him individually?

    So it is going to be common to give an Imperial Guard unit an ORDER in step 2 to have it immediately nullified by step 3? Or does the order effect stay and you just cant order the unit NEXT command phase?

    Um, new question! So I’m going through one of my rule books while listening to these videos and I’m kinda confused ( I know, no way. I’m confused about something in this game lol) about what they mean by detachments. So for the game I think I would mainly be playing, strike force it says the number of detachments I’m allowed is 3! I know 10th edition may or may not be the same but that’s not the point. So my question is does that mean I can only have 3 groups/main characters in the game up to 2,000 points? Um, that’s not much wiggle room from what that sounds like if I’m correct. What if you have 3 characters you want in the game? Is that it? You can’t add more units/detachments? I’ll keep reading but so far I haven’t seen anything that says I’m wrong about what a “detachment” is

    Would love to get your opinion on when Necrons Reanimate vs test for battleshock ... the wording is very confusing and can make a big difference for Warriors for instance ... also, if you think reanimation happens after battleshock, then you reanimate a model into the squad (that wasn't apart of the failed test roll) would that model have its initial OC or OC0 (as in, could 4 warriors from a starting 10 man squad have OC 0, but the next 5 that reanimate have OC 2)? This will clearly need to be resolved by GW as this is a critical mechanic for Necrons

  • @ElOvnen

    @ElOvnen

    Жыл бұрын

    From the leaked Core Rules, best guess is that it happens *before* the Battleshock Step. It's repeatedly stated that *any* rule that occur on the Command Phase is resolved in the first step. But it's not 100% clear.

    Unclear. If you fail a Battleshock test in the Battleshock Step of the Command Phase, it lasts until the start of your next Command Phase. But the leaked Core Rules do not mention anything about Battleshock Tests outside of this step. Presumably, all Battleshocked units "reset" at the start of your Command Phase? But what we've seen of the rules do not clarify.

    There’s a lot of conjecture re the tyranids shadow in the warp ability whether it can be affected by the insane bravery strat. The strat auto passes a failed test taken in the battleshock stage of the command phase but it triggers before this in the command ability stage. Lots of arguments for either side but reckon it needs a day 1 faq

  • @ElOvnen

    @ElOvnen

    Жыл бұрын

    It seems pretty clear that this doesn't work. Insane Bravery can only be used in the Battleshock Step. Claiming that it can be used earlier than this is just as silly as claiming that Rapid Ingress can be used at the *start* of your opponent's Movement Phase.

  • @valwenventureco9285

    @valwenventureco9285

    insane bravery can only be used during the battleshock step of your command phase, so shadow of the warp which takes place during the first part of the command phase so you couldn't use it. also regardless of when it is you can't use it if they use shadows in there command phase, though there is little reason to use it during there own command phase.

  • @KRdHaene

    @KRdHaene

    As far as we know, you take a battle shock test to remove battle shock from a unit, so if Shadow in the Warp effects a unit in your command phase then you would test that unit after in the Battle Shock step. Then you could use the Strat to auto pass them. It actually seems to be a decent choice to use SitW during the Tyranid player's turn since any failed tests would prevent Stratagems being used on the T turn and push any contested objectives over to T for the scoring portion of the Command Phase. That being said, you may not be able to use Insane Bravery on a unit that is already Battle Shocked, since they cannot receive Stratagems. Only on a non-shocked unit to prevent them from gaining shock.

  • @ElOvnen

    @ElOvnen

    Жыл бұрын

    @@KRdHaene No, you don't take Battleshock to remove Batteleshock. When you fail the test in the Battleshock Step, it is *automatically* removed at the *start* of your next Command Phase.

  • @tellumyort

    The explanation of Battle Shock confused me because it is stated that you use the “highest” leadership in the unit, but that is counter intuitive because on the datasheets you want a lower number for the Leadership stat. I had to rewatch that part several times to understand that the saves are rolled against the Best (lowest numerical) leadership stat in the unit.
