ive been playing for about 7 years, and my range has expanded to pedal F to a double F (only on really good days lol) do you have any tips/exercises for learning how to make these notes come out and sound good? awesome video btw!! love your channel ❤️

I wouldn’t say I did any specific exercises, just keep working on it. I have a longer video on my channel about it as well. You can read music up an octave or practice some lead trombone parts and higher ballads. Don’t overdo it. Be aware of when you need to take a break.

I think doing long tones for warmup and in general of course as high and as low as you can go is to going to develop your range a lot

Now I can finally try the one bob mcchesney solo! (The fast high notes kill me)

My range is double pedal Bb to C5, though I can play higher sometimes

I am a trumpet player and just got trombone, I already can play very high for a beginner but if you want some really high notes, use a trumpet mouthpiece

The highest I can get is like a triple e but not consistently

That's what I thought, but then I started practicing until I started reaching way above my normal range (I still can't reach low f partial though)

Sometimes a larger diameter rim can make things easier. There are players with lots of different lip sizes that play instruments from tuba with huge mouthpieces to trumpet with tiny mouthpiece. Once you find what works for you you’ll be set.

C'mon, that is just not possible for "normal" people to do like you show there. Your whole mouth looks different and is it possible there is something different about your teeth?

My teeth are more apart on the Pedal note and a little closer together on the Double Bb. My tongue is also positioned like I’m saying Eeeee on the Double Bb. Yes it does take practice but it is possible. I’m focusing on speeding up and slowing down the air to change registers.
