The next key to learning how to play texas hold'em is understanding the positions! Position in poker is the set-up of how each hand begins. Every hand, there will be a player in the button, a small blind, and a big blind. The blinds are forced to put money into the pot. From there, action begins to the left of the big blind with the positions as follows for a 9-handed poker game:

Lojack
Hijack
Cutoff
Button
Small Blind
