Original Sovereign is so much fun. Arena is a good name for the quicker expansion, because some games of Sovereign really do feel "gladiatorial" where you're opening the gates on new sets of warriors one after the other. A great icebreaker too because everyone wants to know what you're playing when you break it open at a cafe or whatever.

Got the original Sovereign Chess because of this channel's recommendation, cool to see that there's more board configurations out there!

A chess variation I created: Wabbidom Chess ​  ⠀ The objective of the game is to “checkmate” any opponent piece (i.e. put a piece under an attack that it can not escape from), except a pawn.   ⠀ A piece does not have to escape a threat of being captured and may be captured on the next turn. However, if one of a player's pieces can not escape a threat, they lose the game immediately. Kings are allowed to move to a square under attack and may be captured. Castling and _en passant_ are not allowed.

Competitive Mode Rooks, Bishops, and Queens can only move up to 6 Spaces. That's it.

The rules are the same as the regular sovereign chess', in which rules are the same as the regular chess', except for these changes:

Teleportation Chess: The rules are the same as regular chess, but with these changes: - There is no promotion. Instead, when a pawn reaches the eighth rank, it “teleports” to the second rank of the same file. - When a pawn teleports, it regains the two-step move option. - If the second rank is occupied by any piece when a pawn is on the seventh rank, then the pawn is blocked. - When capturing during teleportation, the pawn still moves one square diagonally forward and then teleports to the second rank that lines up with the square where capturing took place. - A pawn is allowed to block a check when being teleported to the second rank. - A pawn is allowed to check the enemy king when being teleported. - En passant is allowed like normal. The first player to deliver checkmate wins!

For consistency, shouldn't teleporting pawns be blocked by any piece in the destination spot (because they can't capture straight forward) and instead be able to capture pieces adjacent to their move destination spot?
