RULES:
The object of the game is to have the fewest points at the end. The game ends once 1 player gets 100 or more points. Shuffle the deck and deal 12 cards to each player, which they keep in a 3 by 4 facedown grid in front of them, without looking at them. Place the remainder of the deck face down in the middle of the table as a draw deck. Discard the top card to form a discard pile. Each player flips over any 2 cards in their grid.
Players add their 2 cards together and the player with highest sum goes first, then play proceeds clockwise. On your turn, draw the top card from either the draw deck or discard pile. If you take the card from the discard, then you must swap it for any card in your grid. Whenever you swap a card in your grid, you place the new card faceup in its place and discard the swapped card. You may not look at a facedown card before swapping it.
If you draw a card from the draw deck, then you may swap it for a card in your grid, if you want, or you may discard it. If you discard the drawn card, then you must then flip 1 card in your grid faceup. If ever a column of 3 cards has 3 identical cards, it is called a triplet. You must immediately discard the entire column of the triplet to the discard pile. The triplet is discarded on top of your discarded or swapped card. You must always discard a revealed triplet, even if you don’t want to.
Once one player has all 12 of the cards in their grid faceup, then every other player gets 1 final turn then the round ends. Now, all players flip any remaining facedown cards in their grid faceup, removing any revealed triplets, then adds all their remaining faceup cards together. If the player who ended the round doesn’t have the lowest sum, then they receive double their total points they would have normally received, unless their total is zero or below, then they do not double them.
Each player’s sums are added to their score on a scoresheet, and if a player has 100 or more points, then the game ends and the player with the fewest points wins. If not, then play another round with the player who ended the previous round going first in the next round. Repeat this process until there is a winner.

Thanks for this! Bought the game a few weeks ago, and love it even though I just learned we'd been missing something. Thought that you could only exchange with a face down one in front of you, not knowing you could get rid of those face up big ones. That said, we had that and an adaption to 5 rows, and zero cards being wildcards to help complete a row of three.
Very underrated game. I LOVE this game.

Yes, it is a variation of golf. Many games does take inspiration from old games and added some improvements. I believe trash was actually a variation from another old card game. I will say tho, the addition of -2 and -1, plus the higher 11 and 12 point does make this a little bit better. Not only that, but able to remove an entire column of card can change a lot. You can kinda replicate these effect using 2 deck of card, but that is still kinda tiny compared to 150 cards in the deck. You are also still missing negative numbers.

What@@hamizannaruto said, and most times the specific game decks are just easier for small children and elderly family to understand when there's no suits, just values or colours.

@@blue_ranger I will add one more thing. The theme of the cards. While a lot of card games are abstract, there is a few game that has a clear theme, and certain deck help. This was a case with regicide. A game that can be played entirely with regular deck, even the creators said do, but their deck actually has art of knight and bosses that helps with the theme. It does not just help with the kids, but actually give some life into the game. Tho yeah, this point if unrelated to this game, but I thought it worth mentioning .

@@hamizannarutoif you want 150 cards use 3 decks. But do you need that many? As for minus values, assign them to the picture cards like in trash and golf. Do you actually need minus cards? As for theme, what theme?
You should check out Skyjo Action too! It's the same game but it has action cards to enhance gameplay. 😊
What happens if you combine the fallowing card games Uno Dos Can anyone make a variant combining the 2 together?
Reminds me a bit of that one Monopoly card game where you trade cards with a discard pile.

Took me a while to find the instruction manual, but this is what it contains. 150 total cards and 1 score card. The cards are -2 card (5 cards) 0 card (15 cards) -1, 1 to 12 (10 cards each)

@@Negreb25 1 to 12 is 10 cards each. That's already 120 cards. Plus -1 cards, that's another 10. Then add the remaining 0 and -2 cards, which is 15 and 5 cards respectively. 120+10+5+15= 150.

@@Negreb25”1 to 12” means all numbers ranging from 1 to 12. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are all considered

It does not play the same as trash. Trash is mostly a luck based game, with the special card are the only one that effect your choices. This is mainly plays on what's card you wanna keep. Low cards help your score low, but high card has a high chance to being drop, allowing for more 3 in a row, a total removal of points. There choices here and there.
