Description
Scholars of the South Tigris is set during the height of the Abbasid Caliphate, circa 830 AD. The Caliph has called upon the keenest minds to acquire scientific manuscripts from all over the known world. Players will need to increase their influence in the House of Wisdom, and hire skilled linguists to translate the foreign scrolls into Arabic. In this Golden Age of wisdom and knowledge, be mindful not to neglect one in pursuit of the other.
The aim of Scholars of the South Tigris is to be the player with the most victory points (VP) at the game’s end. Points are gained by translating scrolls, increasing knowledge in various areas of science and mathematics, influencing the 3 guilds, and by retiring translators after their years of faithful service. The game end is triggered once all 4 caliph cards have been revealed.

Thanks for supporting my channel!
A couple of notes, placing/removing gold also qualifies as interacting with a specific translator. I'm pretty sure you must also pay 1 coin for EVERY translator used, either to the supply or an opponent, ignoring the coin cost for your own. Other than that, I really liked the video. I appreciated the explanation of drawing a Caliph card during a Rest action, that was probably the most confusing bit of rules for me.

Thanks for your feedback. I will check and add Klingon subs to correct this

Where’s Klingon? It’s not a choice for closed captions and I cannot find a separate setting for subtitles.

If there are no Klingon ,it means there are no mistakes found so far. However , I got a comment yesterday here. I did not get time to check if the man was right yet

There are secret translators in the game that speak Klingon and Greek. Just find a card that Greek and Arabic and voila! You might not want to hear the final translation though.. 😁
