Single numbers technically payout 35:1 but you keep your initial bet on top of that so really the amount you get back is 35:1 plus your initial bet (36:1) if I'm not mistaken

As a dealer I want to put some corrections/clarifications to this video. The following are things I have seen turn into shouting matches, even assaults on dealers from intoxicated patrons. 1, A straight up bet does not PAY YOU 36 times your money, it pays 35 times your money plus you get your original bet back, as a dealer misunderstandings like this have become full blown arguments at the table. 2, The 1:1 outside bets are not a 50/50 chance, because 0/00 are not a part of that at all, so if you bet red and black, odd and even, or 1-18 and 19-36 you can still lose, again this misunderstanding has become a fight at the table when someone tries to do 10 on red and 20 on black and a 0 hits and they lose everything. 3, Much like the straight up the erroris that the 1/3 of the board bets do not pay 3 times your bet, they pay 2 times your bet, plus you get your bet back. This simple change in wording is very important, the expression "pay you" denotes getting money you didn't have originally, so the 10 dollar bet walks you away with 30 on a win, not 30 plus the original 10. Basically all of his payout descriptions are based on a "X FOR 1" structure, not an "X TO 1" This is a distinctive difference. If the table reads "FOR 1" that means the payout is including your original bet, if the table reads "TO 1" that means it is the payout you receive, PLUS getting your original bet back. They are the same but often confuse players, leading to arguments, wasted time, and a ruining of the experience.

@@RouletteMan I get that, but I am just speeaking from my own experience as both dealer and floor supervisor. What I put up there in my comment are the common things that turn into bad situations on the games. Have seen it get so bad that I have seen players taken out by police over it (one time from a dealer getting punched) The subtle differences I pointed out may seem minute, but many gamblers should maybe watch their regular money as closely as they watch their bet payouts...

What are your opinions on just choosing either red or black the entire time obviously not 50/50 but it seems like strategies have some sort of placebo effect of making it seem more profitable but in turn it’s the same odds, and I’m new to roulette so just correct me if I’m wrong lol just want to hear anyone opionion. 👍🏼

Easiest way to go is picking red or black with $50 to $100 and trying to get to $1000 then leave the casino or hit the slots

People you don't even know have made money off your misfortune without you realizing it. I find a desperate man, struggling to keep it together while throwing piles of chips on the table begging for a hit. And I simply bet against everything he has placed. I walk away a winner 58% of the time. You limit your time at the table, 3/5 hits. 6/10 hits and you leave. Of course there's more to it, but starting with this, will turn your luck around. You're welcome.

It seems like placing a split bet is no good if it pays 17x because you're covering two numbers that individually would pay 35x. (2 numbers x 17 = 34x)-- You're missing out. Just place one chip on each number to maximize your payout, instead.

I was thinking if I bet 5k on black and 2.5k on red won’t I either break even or double my money. Unless on the off chance it lands on green.

No, because your total bet is $7.5k, if it lands on black you'll get $10k (+$2.5k) but if it lands on red you only get $5k (-$2.5k). So if you get a lot of hits on red you'll be doing pretty good, but since the odds aren't even 50/50 you could very well keep hitting black and take huge losses fast. The only way around this would be using a system like the Martingale, but that's just a recipe for going bankrupt, unless there are no bet limits and you have an infinite bankroll, but in that case you may as well just buy the casino. 😉

It's fun trying to figure out systems that can minimize risk and earn you profit! I enjoy playing for fun too, been doing that for a couple years. I might actually try a system I figured out but I'm going to test it a lot before I'll even bet a tiny amount irl.. and make sure to limit my bankroll so I don't end up selling my kidneys or something trying to recoup losses 😅😳

Remember any casino games must be stopped in time. Or you'll lose all your money. I have lost a lot of money at roulette. And I won many times too.

These payouts are completely inaccurate. You only get 35:1 on a straight up number 5:1 on a double street and 8:1 on corner bets.

You forget to add your initial bet. We are talking about how much you bet and how much you get back - not only the profit. This way it is much more clear for the beginner.

Roulette is built for you to lose lol. I've lost thousands on the way of trying to find a real strategy, it doesn't exist
