Indeed cata frost mage ( not arc or fire ) has deep freeze, insta ring, barrier freeze, frost nova, pet nova, cone root and old mastery that 3 shot people in stun. MoP frost bomb 5.0.5 also was top tier with alter time restoring buffs and extra heals from no cd Evo, which later transitioned to fire and arcane as mastery got nerfed

Idk, Vanilla mage was pretty great in PvP. You hard counter a lot and really only struggle with warlock

Glyph of gouge enables gouge to hit regardless of whether target is facing you or not.

That’s the beauty of playing double dps. You don’t sit in 30 mins games. And double dps comps are a lot stronger in Cata so you will be seeing an increment in double dps comps. But if you queue healer dps yea it’s a painful time.

Actually I’m seeing an increment in PvP players for cata. There’s a lot of new PvP guilds right now. There was so much hype about wotlk but I never seen PvP guilds recruiting.

​​@@andrecardoso6941cata is the most balanced and simplified version of somewhat modern wow, with mana management out the window and no fmage, elesham, destro lock only meta of oneshots. People could survive better in pvp and gameplay felt rewarding at the same time unlike tens of answers to a killing blow modern wow is currently. Still it aint wotlk, so redoing cata in the classic package will be short lived even if pumped by pvpers. At this point people really just need one version of the game that is good and stick to it.
