its because my right hand is better at playing a kind of lead or a melody

Is the rythm on the right played on the up beat and the melody on the left played on the beat? How best to practice getting it right. Thanjs

if you count 8, the rythmic "chip" of the right hand ( what the guitarist would play ) would play D major chord on 2 and 4 and the second chord G major would go on 6 and 8

repeat those bars and try singing or humming the tune along with the rythm
