How to play 'Put Your Lights On' by Santana ft. Everlast
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A terrific song - guitar master Carlos Santana teamed up with Everest and what a fabulous result. Join me to learn the chords and strumming patterns as well as the main riff which carries this song along beautifully. We'll do a slow speed playalong as well as a full speed playalong toward the end of the video - and, at the very end we'll learn the intro lead as well. A ton of fun! The fire alarm goes off in the final seconds of the video and my poor puppy starts howling because of the noise - I left it in the video for a chuckle - hope you have fun with this one! Shane

Have always loved this song. Whitey Ford’s voice is awesome. Just hearing the name Santana is intimidating, but you make it seem possible. Thank you for the great lesson. Headed over to Patreon now.
Great song…… Keep ‘em coming!!!
Shane! It’s your Alaska neighbor! Thank you for this and all your videos, actually! Sometimes it’s not just about learning to play a song you teach, but, on less than perfect days, I love to watch any one of your videos- I love your sense of humor, and your joy is contagious! 100% pure fun! You really do make the world a better and happier place, Shane!

You give the best lessons on guitar extremely though imo. A better term for noodles may be embalishments on those open chords. They really give a chord colour and definition.

Thank you for the Enthusiastic upload :) 6:37: isn't C7? A request: any song from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds :)
The intro lead is a great way to practice volume swells too. It's something I've always struggled with and that volume swell on the 14 of the G string is relatively straight forward. Still not sure how he gets that growl on the first note (the 12th fret) of the 3rd bar. I end up playing a double stop but I suspect he may be getting it from his amp setup.
