I would love a series on backing up preachers that preach different. The preacher here is a tuner. He can sing. Some poachers pop. We call them hoopers/punchers. Some preach hard but kind of teach so they want a little backing but not talk music and not a drive.

Interesting. The problem with preachers today is, that TYPE of preaching is becoming PLAYED OUT,because it's NOT about style but it is about the people being able to UNDERSTAND you and your message is understandable. The goal when I play is to be BEHIND the preacher so that the message is heard.

@@frederickweeksjr.1189 I'm not understanding your point. Different preachers require different things. The Most High and the preachers personality is what leads people to join. Not everyone likes preachers that preach this way but a lot of people do. It's important as a musician to be versatile because you may have a guest minister and you should be able to follow them or you may get hired at a new church that doesn't do it like the old church you played at. You have to be able to flow and music ministry isn't one size fits all.
