I’m so grateful to you for putting this out there. I realise it has been a missing link the way it shows how to approach making the melody in the treble clef not sound so thin and hollow with just single notes. I can see how learning to play triads and their inversions really fluently is the crawling-before-you-can walk stage. Knowing this makes fooling around with triads on a regular basis a lot more fun!

I've looked at many piano tutorials on KZread, etc but I am fascinated by your style of teaching and playing. I would like to learn more of how you prepared students with your methods. How do I get started learning from your methods?

Dear lady I think I've cracked it. It works, it seems it sounds nice. I tried the begining of another little song and it looks that I can sort of use the other 2 fingers of the chord on the right hand and with the left and it sounds nice. It ia fairly hard job but what is not hard when done for the first time? I hope I am doing it Ok, do you agree? I hope to get some feedback just to reasure me, thanks a million☺👍.

Great questions. Firstly - despite the fact these materials come from our methodologies and resources pack www.contemporaryschoolofpiano.com (you can request them here). So this way of learning can be thought of in three parts. 1 Learning chords and harmony (this is so important because chords and harmony are used in everything we hear and play on the piano, so understanding chords is pivotal to the piano. That's why we have so many training videos on chords. Most students are missing this basic musical nutrition! 2. After chords we look at rhythm, groove, and arrangement. we also have material on this. 3. This third step is displayed in this video the combination and arrangement of chords and melody to create a complete song. Rather than thinking of this of. method, this instead is the insight that the composer has of the music, so you are not just simply reading the music from a score or sheet music with no knowledge as to how it came to be and what it is built from.

It's part of the resources pack. Just one clarification, we give out resources that support these videos, we are unable to give out sheet music for free of songs where we are not the copyright owner, however, we can provide chords and in some cases lead sheets (which is often more effective when paired with the right practice strategy) the resources pack can be requested via our website and we will email it to you. I hope this helps.
