Want to start learning more scales on trombone?! The answer is, YES!
The minor pentatonic scale is one of my favorite sounds, and it is super useful. In this video, I take you through 4 keys: Bb, A, Ab and G. The sheet music is included down below so you can follow along.
Also in this video is a lesson on how to play this advanced trombone flexibility exercise: • Trombone Flexibility E...

This is great. I think this is the kind of stuff I had always been trying to play in solos anyway but nice to see where it comes from . Seen a lot of people talking about these minor pentagon scale and wanted to see what it was about. I have a basically brand new Yamaha that I had bought in Cambodia and then never really played. Tried to sell it on eBay but I don't think anyone is gonna pay full price for it so I figured I might as well start playing it. I used to play in a band in Seoul and maybe I can do something like that again.

Hey Lisa, I am a former Trombone player. My new years resolution is to learn the instrument again. Being a guitarist, I want to take a shape and pattern approach. Got any suggestions? It seems like the minor pentatonic has a shape to it. I can relate to that. I know enough theory on the guitar to be a little dangerous. LOL!
