I finished your Hendrix playlist, it was absolutely incredible! starting this now and I’ve learned so much after just two episodes. Had tons of fun today thanks to you! You are very obviously GODLY guitar player, in solo work and covers, but you’re also a saint of a person. You do all of this for free and pour your heart into the lessons. You gave me two hours of free amazing lessons today! You give everyone so much knowledge, and everyone has so much fun with what they learn from you. You seriously spread HOURS of knowledge to us, and pour your heart and soul into these videos. You are an incredible guitarist, teacher, and the fact that you do this all out of the goodness of your heart is incredible. I think I speak for all of your viewers when I say you’re an inspiration beyond a guitar player, but as a human being!

Just started with some of these chords. My hands are struggling real hard, but having fun learning! If i keep up this pace i can deliver "for dave" in about 50 years from now. Very thankful for all these free lessons and jams you are putting out there. You have no clue how much you are appreciated by your fans.

Man you do things like no other youtubers. They seem to like to put out short videos that only really give you one way of doing something and have you just mimic what they're doing. At the end you're left only knowing how to mimic that one phrase they played. It's awesome you show different ideas and also explain how to go about experimenting with it to get more out of it after the video. Really awesome stuff. Thank you for all these gems you've put out over the years!

Inspirational. Masterful. Interesting. Hugely useful. Lucid. Amusing. I could go on but you get the idea. A massive thank-you. Love Frusciante. It is so useful to get a cohesive view on how those RHCP songs are put together instead of just learning them individually. This is what KZread is made for. Also very happy that you are finally beginning to get the views your work deserves. About time! If you want to show the solos for Hey and I Could Have Lied at some point be my guest. The latter is one of my favourite solos of all time - suicidally sad. Also would appreciate a look at the twiddly bits of Wet Sand. It is they that make the song! Very much looking forward to Episode 3. 2 was even better than 1.

Ive never seen someone emulate john and jimis playing as well as you do man. its great. i feel like i perfectly "get" their styles of playing and the general sort of mood they like to create with their playing (both have that sort of sad, triumphant sounding chord progressions often) and i wish i had the knowledge/practice to implement that understanding into my playing. thats why i needa watch your videos i suppose!

First KZread-Comment ever just to tell you that is amazing stuff! Thanks a lot. Would love to see more how-to-play-like-john-videos! (Personally, I'd be interested in right hand style)

Thanks for sharing so much information. You have given me a lot to practice. I would love to incorporate some of John's rhythm into my playing and this is the best I have found on his style.

@@thedavesimpson the pleasure is mine. Do you ever get into a rut with your playing and feel like you're just not progressing and then a wealth of information just falls into your lap and propels you forward? That's how I'm feeling with my discovery of your channel.

Great video Dave. Theres a few "In the style of John Frusciante" vids but this one alone covers far far more. I think its really important to do as you mention and experiment, see what works. This is all about taking the elements and applying them to your own playing.

Thank you Dave for these excellent lessons. I am now completely hooked on John, and even getting closer to proper Hendrix double stops. And damn you too - when I bought my Les Paul 11 years ago I promised my wife I will not be getting another guitar in 50 years ... now I need a Strat.... Scar Tissue is so wrong with humbuckers. Greetings from Norway.
