    I learned this game at a friend's house when her grandparents would come to visit. We didn't keep score and we would knock on the table when we were done with our turn. A great way to start a kid on various solitaire games.

    A yo what's good, 'hood!? This is a great presentation of my favorite card game that I had recently learned to play about seven months ago and since then I have quickly become an expert player with my very own great strategy partially taught by others whom have already known how to play. I win more than I lose, either way I always enjoy the rounds ultimately playing for hours on end. I eventually taught one of my siblings and a niece how to play so far and have even downloaded an application for the Android phone in order to pass time meanwhile no one else is available to participate. I have yet to keep score although I have just recently learned from You and another uploader in regards on how to do so. I hope that You also continue to enjoy the game with family and friends in competition. Thank You for the brilliant presentation, ¡Bravo!

    I guess, like all games, there are variations to the rules of the game. I remember playing this game (Kings in the Corner) a while back but like the standard game of “Solitaire,” when it came to the stacks in the corners, I was taught they were to be from king down by single suit (like the upper stacks in the game Solitaire), only the initial sides were played in a black & red stacks.

  • @KeyLoads39th

    I play a different variant. Players have a card up and others players can hit each other's pile. And the A's go in the corners where you have to play 2,3,4 of the same suit. So it gives the game a sort of attack method! You pile your opponent s pile up!

    Played this game a lot growing up. We had an extra "tuck" rule that I didn't see here. When one of the four side card/piles can be placed on another pile (as in 2:06), and it leaves only 3 piles, the Tuck rule it activated and allows the current player to put cards underneath any of the remaining piles, as long at it still applies to the order. For example at 2:11, if Player Four had a Red 5, they could play it under the Black 4 of the top pile. Then if no more tucking is possible, place any remaining cards in the empty spot, and your turn is over. Wonder if that's just something my family made up to speed the game up?

  • @sallyshiers

    @sallyshiers

    4 жыл бұрын

    MassillonJoe yes that would just speed it up so you do t have to put the card in the 4th pile and move the other one over on to it. It is still playing correctly just skipping having to move a whole line of cards around.

    Are we required to play a card? Or can we pass? I feel sometimes you don't want play a card since you don't have any more cards in that sequence, and you will just give your opponents options. But then it gets pretty stalematy

    that would mean someone stuffed up and didn't put down one of their cards when they could've, but then that would also mean that the next card in that row couldn't be put down. This game is just a fun way to re-shuffle the deck, there is no strategy at all.

    What I don't understand is why any player would have a king in thier hand by the end of the game. Wouldn't you put it down as soon as you pick it up? I don't see much strategy for holding on to them.

  • @kidwonder34

    @kidwonder34

    2 жыл бұрын

    The reason I hold my king, is because once your opponent has a red queen but you have a full hand to their one card left, I put the king down then the round is over. So says there’s three kings down and you don’t have the queen that means someone else does . So you might as well hold the king until you can win because you can always put the king down to finish your hand when you’re ready.

You can play as many cards as you like so why wouldn't you play the king. The only way i see someone ending a round with a king is if they forgot they had it.
