VERSE 1:
I've been walking in the same way as I did
Missing out the cracks in the pavement
And tutting my heel and strutting my feet
"Is there anything I can do for you dear?"
"Is there anyone I could call?"
"No and thank you, please madame
I ain't lost, just wandering"
CHORUS:
Round my hometown
Memories are fresh
Round my hometown
Ooh, the people I've met
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world
Are the wonders now
VERSE 2:
I like it in the city
When the air is so thick and opaque
I love it to see everybody in short skirts, shorts and shades
I like it in the city when two worlds collide
You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides
BRIDGE:
Shows that we ain't gonna stand shit
Shows that we are united
Shows that we ain't gonna take it
Shows that we ain't gonna stand shit
Shows that we are united
CHORUS:
Round my hometown
Memories are fresh
Round my hometown
Ooh, the people I've met, yeah
OUTRO:
Doo-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-dah, yeah
Doo-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-dah, yeah
Doo-doo-doo-doo ooh-ooh yeah
Yeah, yeah-ey
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world
Are the wonders of my world
Of my world
Yeah, of my world
Of my world, yeah

Great tutorial, I love the sound of a piano. When I heard Home Town Glory i almost bought a piano just to play that song. It’s such a beautiful accompaniment to the lyrics

its easier if you skip the right hand thumb note, it's just a duplicate note but is an easy cheat to skip if you can't get the stretch , thanks for the tutorial !

My fingers are having a hard time reaching all the keys :/ is there a simpler way of creating a similar sound for shorter finger folks? lol Appreciate your tutorials, they are awesome!

You can do a back and forth side motion with your hand since you don't need to press all the keys at the same time. Edit: That's for the right hand, alternatively if you still can't do it you can drop the leftmost keys in the first two chords (B flat and A flat). If you have problem with the left hand you don't need to play octaves, you can play just the root or the root and the fifth (B flat + F -> A flat + E flat -> F + C -> G flat + D flat )

I don't really know how you could make this simpler to follow; but I've watched the video several times, and even now I find it hard to follow. The verbal instructions don't seem to mirror the finger movements somehow. When the finger numbers are mentioned for each note then the demonstration follows, it doesn't look the same. Not simple at all really. I will persevere but, to be honest, I'm not sure I'll get it 😢

I do explain and show exactly what I’m doing slowly, as well as putting the notes on the top screen. Not sure how much clearer I could be…It sounds like you’re a beginner - maybe use words like ‘easy’ or ‘beginner’ in your search.
