    So many piano tutors online and, whatever my opinion is worth, I think you're the best. I say that because you break down pieces so intuitively, anticipating tricky parts, and you do so while showing how to sing along (many others focus on the piano part, and they do so well, but leave us to our devices when it comes to singing). Your lyrics and chord charts are also spot-on. I used to find a piano tutorial video, then find the chord chart on Guitar Tabs or some such place. No need now, as yours are perfectly laid out and annotated as necessary (for example, the asterisk in this one). The additional emails you send out are also excellent (enjoyed the one about why you stopped piano lessons, for example). At some point I may submit a request but, having just discovered your channel, I have a ways to go to catch up with what you've already done. Long comment, I know, but I've spent a lot of time with your work the past couple days, truly appreciate it, and wanted you to know why. Thank you, Nate!

    Everything you said is spot on. I have yet to find any piano tutorials on youtube that are done as well as Nate's. He goes to great lengths and explains so many details. Other tutorials left me confused and yearning for more. Nate covers all bases.

    Loved the little tricks in the bass line that diversify the playing and make it more beautiful without making it too complicated. Thank you very much for the tutorial!

    Awesome tutorial, as usual. But I think the rhythms for each of those intro bass riffs are slightly different. The first one (starting on A) is like: 1 1& 2& 3& 4 1 (as you said out loud in the video) The second (starting on C) is like: 1 1& 2& 3& 4& 1

    Nate, you always seem to know which songs I want to learn. Another amazing tutorial. Also, I want to thank you for your kind response on my wife's passing and agreeing to do "Woman" by John Lennon. I am so glad you are doing this wonderful CCR song. I was never a great guitar player, but this is one song I did manage to learn on guitar. I can't wait to learn this on piano. Thanks again for your contribution to my music journey. You have helped me in so many ways. I

    @Piano with Nate Nate, I know how busy you get with making videos, lessons, etc. Just the fact that you read my comment and dpoke with me about it means the world to me. I was so grateful when I found your channel. It has really been life changing for me. Every time you released a new tutorial, I used to tell my wife how excited I was, and I would run off to the music room to practice. You brought us a lot of happiness, Nate. You may not realize it, but you do make a difference in people's lives. Music is so important. You have a gift to touch people's lives and improve them. The music has been the only thing keeping me going in these troubled times with my wife's death. Thank you again for everything

    I am finally able to play this one fairly well. It took me awhile to get the tempo. Im self taught from your tutorials and your piano course. I never had any formal lessons. I never had the patience to use a metronome. So ever song I have leaned has been by "feel". I was playing this too fast and had to slow down to make the words match the chords. My next challenge is to learn the sustain pedal. I know you have a video for it. Once again, thank you for teaching me so much.

  • @PianowithNate

    @PianowithNate

    Hi John! Always good to hear from you. Oh man...I cannot encourage you emphatically enough to tackle that sustain pedal. I know how much time you spend learning and playing songs, and everything, EVERYTHING you play will sound so much better with the pedal. But I understand people putting it off...it IS frustrating at first to get the lift timing down. Itll take a week or two of hard practice to become muscle memory. But then forevermore, you'll sound much better when you play. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eZmou62dlq_Il6g.htmlsi=J-0hmbthe91zlgTW

    Hi Sage! This is a good idea. I'll make a playlist of the easiest tutorials. I've been hesitant to designate everything with difficulty level because I always give options in the videos to simplify things or do an easier version, and I don't want to discourage beginners from giving tutorials not marked as easy a try. I understand that it would be helpful though so I'll try and figure something out!
