I'm not a fan of a long videos I find them boring and tideous, that being said this video is very concise and clear despite its length. I'm grateful for your video I went from barely 25 fps 1x resolution to 3x 30fps on skyward sword and you even show the little tweaks that make a world of difference like the wii mote movement threshold. A fantastic and well put video, thank you.

Excellent guide, which is easy to follow and paced in a balanced manner. I like that you are comparing the different versions as well as showing a simple way to not only test for a best version but as a general practice that can be used across the board, determine how a particular device may generally operate for a given system emulation/emulator. Furthermore, it takes some complication away from the plethora of configurations options, focussing on those that will have general use for most.

8:03 Select OPENGL if your CPU is Snapdragon. Select Vulkan if your CPU is Mediatek. Mediatek will drop the dolphin emulator game if it uses OPENGL.

THIS is the type of thing I’ve been waiting for. I’ve written on some of your videos asking how plug and play these emulation devices are with GameCube or ps2, and/or how much tinkering it required to get it to the state it is in the video. Wow! Thank you so much! Before I couldn't run Super Smash Bros Brawl very well on the Retroid Launcher. I kept getting these error messages and error codes, and the game would crash. But now that I did some testing on the MMJR and MMJR2 apps, I got to play the game on classic mode all the way through and got Luigi as my first unlockable character. And the best part is that my game progress saved. Now I should go see if my games can run the same in .RVZ format.

GReat tutorial! Emulation on Android has come a long way, I just don't like of how hard it is to sinc saves on the cloud (that's why I play emulators from PS2 up on Windows only)

Is it possible to use the Retroid MMJR build on phones? My phone is on the weaker side and seems right on the verge of running a lot of games full speed. I think the sub-native resolution options on the Retroid version would help.

Also note that just because a game runs ok in the first minute of gameplay doesn't mean it won't suck as soon as you reach the first dungeon or island or city...

Was about to say this regarding Twilight Princess for Example. On the official dolphin build I get full speed 3x in ordon village but as soon as I enter the forest area (not even the temple) it tanks to only like 40% at 1x. Switched to mmjr 2 and I get 100% at 3x (rarely ever need to go down to 2.5) for the ENTIRE game. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S22 with Snapdragon 8 gen 1 btw

Official had absolutely the best performance on my OnePlus Nord, amazing.

Most games worth playing run with issues on SD 870/865 And even then it depends a lot on the phone still. Moto g100 should run great but it has excessively outdated drivers and the software strangles the CPU so it's constantly trying to switch to the low performance cores and stuttering.

One thing i want to say, Open GL & Vulkan varies from different devices, my Phone support Vulkan but my brothers phone support both, Vulkan & Open GL. So check out the settings as per your device.

I have a A76 cortex I've played twilight princess and the only buggy and slowed part of the game is the open outside dungeon/town areas and the cut scenes in that areas. Other than this,the game will run smoothly. I've tried all 3 emulators but none did the job. If there's a solution or something that I'm missing,I'd appreciate it

How do I make the emulator read roms and play them?

Everything works great except, when configuring my controls, all the buttons work except for the analog sticks and D- Pad. I've tried everything even both Xbox and PS4 controllers. I've downloaded all 3 apps and all gave me the same results. But as far as playing the games, everything works great so .....NEW SUBSCRIBER!!!

Hi, Could anyone help me, please? I mapped IR of the Wii Mote to the right stick of my controller (Dualshock 4) However, the in-game cursor is not moving in any game when I'm using the right stick. The games only recognize the screen touches as IR movement. How can I change that?

My touch IR Pointer doesn’t have the options his does, I only have Always Recenter, IR Mode, and Double Tap Button. No matter what I try, I can’t get the IR pointer to work with touch or anything really. Any suggestions?

Nice, I have a SD 720G. I'm stuck using an old build of Dolphin so I can continue to play Phantasy Star Online. Haven't played my phone in with my controller for awhile a for some reason the controllers will only control the Android interface like selections and exiting for both my XBone and ipega 9076. I think it might be related updating to Android 11. Looks like it's a Android 11 problem which sucks since I have a Redmi Note 9S and 11 might be the last update...........

This setup allows Mario Galaxy to work perfectly fine for the Wii and it also works as you said for Donkey Kong but I can't say the same for Skyward Sword as this setup doesn't allow you to perform the role for some reason

What file types do u use for wii games?

I play rayman 3 with Oppo A94 games runs well but sometimes little bit fps drop when the scenery is to dense than i got 30 fps and slow crackling sound.

ive been trying to use MMJR on my retroid pocket 3+ and ive only been having issues. whenever i play gamecube games the perfomance is fine i get solid 30 fps. but sometimes when i go in to play a game it will kick me out of the rom and say its invalid. then sometimes the emulator wont even open?

6 months late and all, but I have a question about the gamecube save card part. How does it work and how can we switch between the two

K so for pure performance and high resolution its mmjr2 for me, but it also has graphical glitches specifically on luigis face. However mmjr2 on vulkan has absolutely no graphical glitches, but it doesnt run fast on 2x or 1.5x. Idk what to choose.

Once Vita is modded... You can hook it up to a Samsung tab S7 through a dongle with HDMI out to any HDMI input of a tv or monitor... just KZread search it... You'll need a plugin for the vita and a camera app for the tablet... also you can have you DS4 controller connect to the vita at the same time...🤯🧐🤔

I am having a hard time getting to run Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) on my Samsung S21 FE (Exynos 2100) device, on 1x resolution. I'm even using the PAL version which only neeeds to get to 50fps to run at 100% speed. I tried using Vulkan and OpenGL, I don't know which one is better for the Mali GPU. My device runs the game fine up until 5 minutes of gameplay, and then it starts thorttling like hell and it slow downs a LOT, and the device gets pretty hot. I'm watching this video trying to find a solution. Cheers!

Don't forget to include a PS Vita Slim (hacked) in that list of yours. While some of these are uncomfortable to put into your pocket... Other devices are simply too big to fit and require a backpack to take with you, so you're better off with the Valve SteamDeck instead. In terms of pocketability, your best option is to buy a Samsung S10+ run a Custom ROM, load it up with a Samsung 512GB microSD card. As for controls, slip it into its special case, so you have rails to attach Razer JungleCat. They're pocketable and do the task. Total costs around $300 or less, but it's much better value than the $150 RP3.

Restarting phone to default will be a pain. going to try your method in the weekend. Got the kushi 2. good controller. Xbox series x controller works with cod thou. should get a adapter to hold the phone for it maybe. Got good settings for f zero? I just looked it up. 300% emulation clock speed in advance. volken, cech setting on, shader compilation skip drawing a bunch of those hacks ticked. Will try yours for the other games if i can scale it bigger. I go for the racing games on the cube. Going to try some wii games like donkey kong. I got the disk for that. Should i bother with the gamesirx2. I want the layouts. idk if ill be around a computer. I bought mantas pro. Why do i need to do the bat file again. After I restart. Should i try that panda one? Mantas worked for the most part...

If you have Kishi 2, I wouldn't bother with x2. X2 only has screen mapping software, but I don't like to use it. As for Mantas, I never use it because I typically just go with Flydigi controllers that come with their own solution. You seem to have the correct settings for F-Zero (I talk about the 300% thing at the end of this video in the CPU section).

There is a trick getting kushi working with cod. Connect Xbox or PlayStation controller via Bluetooth. Then the kushi works with cod. Maybe looking for a chip in the controller... 10 year ago I tried overlays there was a method using root. It scared me. Bricked a phone doing it the first time.. lucky they exchanged it for me... Mantas pro for now. Battery life better these days. Most likely keep the charge. Before recharging. Got a battery pack as well just in case.,.

I still don't get what's the point of root. I don't care for the other apps .. 10 years pass and Android doesn't support multiple apps at once...

For me ita the motion controls, I'm playing Go vacation but the tilt etc is just annoying to try to get right, I'm able to play in the open world but any mini game that requires pointer or some other motions it's hard, how ever also driving things is hard

Forget about it. I just realized that I wasn't starting the application inside the Game Space Launcher, and my GPU/CPU was in the lowest/mid settings. Now I'm getting 30/60 FPS in all my GC/Wii Games aond only changing the resolution and widescreen settings. Awesome!!!!

I have a problem with dolphin MMJR when I tap on the app the app open but in just 2 or 3 seconds the app closes I try to reinstall it but I get the same problem any solutions?
