Good Morning sir, I'm an 81 year old man that was raised around countrypickers bur after a life of booze ,fun and a gunshot to the left hand stuck the old Gibson in the closet!! Then my grandson found it and got the itch(god help him!) So I showed him a few chords and he hasn't put it down since! He started cruzing you tube trying to learn. Well I started wanting to play along so I started looking for help and struggle through til I found your page and you are helping so much. I work in Nashville for almost 40 years so country music was my only pursuit and God bless him my grandson is the same way and he loves all the classics Conway,Hank sr, Willie(who I had the pleasure of working with for a couple of years!) Geoge,Merle and all the greats from our greatest era of American music! Sorry for such a long comment just wanted to thank you for all the help. God Bless

I am glad they are useful and helping out. All the best and I appreciate the wonderful comment!

I used to cover this many years back and it is more complicated than some make out. The chords are pretty basic, very even, but it is more about intonation. and that hanging note catches so many out ... It sort of lends itself to reggae for those that want to mess around with it a bit.. Thanks for the link though, anything that keeps Willie up there.

Actually Willie doesn't usually walk into the G from the E string. He walks it back with an open S string, then hits the E at the 4th fret G#, then the G. He bends that G# , the slides right into the G chord. I've been fascinated with his music about the last 15 years.

I wish we were next door neighbors. I know you can play and you have a great voice. You should have much more views and subscribers. Most of the songs you try to teach, aren’t beginner guitar songs. Putting this finger, on this string, at this fret, is more confusing for a beginner this way. Little lamb had a Mary would be ok, but these songs are way advanced for that. I love these songs. You should have a good strong channel base of viewers.

I am so close to landing those barre chords but I just feel my fingers are not long enough so it’s extra work trying to get my pinky to go where it belongs or where it needs to reach! Ugh I’m very discouraged. I was trying to play Amarillo by morning with that F#m and I’m so close too where as it’s only two fingers on that barre chord but my pinky just can hardly make the reach.
