-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A lightweight card game for 2-6 players, Doomlings can be played casually amongst friends, or competitively by the gaming enthusiast family. Because there are no duplicate cards, and Age cards (rounds) are chosen randomly, no two games are ever the same. While the game itself can be learned in 5 minutes or less, don’t be fooled by the seemingly simple mechanics. Doomlings features 100+ unique traits-in Red, Blue, Green, Purple and Colorless-and with rare and powerful Dominant traits, there are countless combinations and play-styles to be discovered across multiple playthroughs.
A typical game takes between 20-45 minutes, depending on the number of players and sequence of events. Advanced-play expansion packs are also available, including a Hidden Objective expansion for a fun twist to the game. Doomlings requires no dice or additional pieces, just a jolly embrace of the inevitable end of the world!
Created by Justus Meyer and Andrew Meyer, with Chris Svehla and Eric McCoy.

    Got mine today. We already played some rounds. This game is wonderful. I bought the gold edition. It’s very easy to understand and play. The basics are so easy that they fit on two sides of a playing card for easy reference as you play. The simplicity of the general rules allows the cards themselves to truly shine. They add more than enough complexity and strategy to keep things fresh and interesting. You basically just play the card and do what it says without esoteric rules bogging the game down. This is super underrated and I hope it eventually gets the recognition it deserves. It’s perfect for any kind of couple or group looking for a quick and simple game to play. Doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran like me or a beginner to tabletop like my wife. Anyone can, and will, enjoy their time with this.

    @@doomlings Overall it was great but there were a few things that we had questions about that the video didn't cover. If an opponent steals a trait that has an action (+1 to gene pool), can they then play the action of that trait card? On the third catastrophe, do the players do the white and the gold or just the gold? If a player plays the dismissal on the third catastrophe, how does the player proceed? At the start of a new age and turn, does everyone reset to start with 5 for their gene pool?

  • @doomlings

    @doomlings

    Жыл бұрын

    @@maryshinault5003 Yes their gene pool goes up. When the final catastrophe is drawn you'll play your gene pool effect and catastrophic effect just like any other catastrophe, players then in turn order check their traits in their trait piles for any "worlds end" symbols in the bottom right corner (graphic in directions book) and resolve those effects then you resolve the gold worlds end effect. No more turns are taken, tally scores. Not sure what you mean by dismissal? Can you clarify that for me want to make sure I'm answering your question correctly, are you playing a specific card to dismiss a catastrophe? Yes at the end of a turn you "stabilize" to your gene pool. If this has decreased/increased then you stabilize to that instead of 5

    No matching. You're looking to create the highest amount of points from traits played from your hand and ages/catastrophes change that!

    I've watched the tutorial several times and this game looks confusing as hell, what kind of drugs were you people taking when you created this game?

    Hey cool game that I'm never going to play because I scanned the qr code for this video and for the past 5 months I keep getting ads for this game even after blocking this ad. Wtf?! So annoying. Too bad this game looked fun. Fix your marketing it's annoying and turning people off.
