you might still be playing wrong since those bootcamps didn't even cover the gameplay (good/bad matchups, meta, patches, maps, early-game, late-game) it's just an objective review of the different units without evolving his personal thoughts and skills.

I love the comet. Many players see the comet as redundant to the Cromwell and choose anvil instead for the Churchill. I always pick hammer and if there are times that I would want a Churchill (to lead a push). I'll just pick a commander that has the crocodile on it

dont know why, i always loved the british forces from the start, especially firefly, the one of the two tank destroyers, that have rotating turret and greater utility with range of those two, and 17 pounder emplacement, which has similar damage and range, it usually finished off low HP tanks, when i least expected to hit them at that range, but has to be placed correctly... they are my favourite AT rush squad.

TBF it looks really funny on the Comet for the "Loader" to be on look out meanwhile the tank somehow has a autoloader from the future mounted inside.

Great work hans as usual. I think no one knows the brits as well as you! Feels a little bit like in a 1v1 where it's all about mobility and not many axis heavies like elefant/jagdtiger, the comet stands out with good Armour piercing and incredible mobility, while in 4v4 grinders the brits often take the artillery role, the buffed airburst shells and the advanced warning around territory points come in huge, while the Churchill can take a bit more beating from heavy tanks while standing up to okw blobs for example? :)

Great vid

If you look closely, the grenades are being lobbed by what seems to the the driver and the hull gunner. You can see two hatches slide open in the front and grenades are lobbed out. The hatches also opens up periodically even if there are no infantry around and closes shortly.

Nope, I'm seeing it from the commander's hatch. 27:35 The funny thing that I think it causes is the Comet tank's "Commander" is actually the Loader.

I believe we have a misunderstanding, the active grenade ability of the Comet and the Churchill is done by the commander (and yes the comet's loader is out there valiantly scouting so the commander isn't exposed). I was not referring to this active ability. Both tanks improve their anti-infantry capabilities passively when they increase veterancy (1st vet for Churchill, 3rd vet for Comet). The Churchill's crew will fire small-arms from the side hatches of the tank, allowing the tank to attack infantry in front and to the sides of the tank. While the Comet's driver and hull gunner will open their hatches periodically to lob two grenades consecutively 24:40 Helping Hans said it was quite hard to see where the grenades were being lobbed 24:55 from which I had to answer when it was one of my favorite little details about the tank in game

@@TheLastSterling1304 Its actually a flex probably, the Comet's seats were actually adjustable. So the loader is able to turn his seat into a stool to stand out of his hatch. Its highly impractical considering he's the only one able to load the gun lol but hey he's got an adjustable seat. Also, the tanks with a gunner on the top such as the Stug IV, are manned by the loader so don't blame just the Comet, the others were doing it even before the Brits were added :D

It’s probably no where near being cost effective but the tulips will impact the ground at max range wich can deal heavy damage to infantry similar to artillery

All allied medium tanks (cromwell, sherman, and t-34) are all the weaker side of the medium tank spectrum. one tiny misstep (or pathfinding issues) can kill a cromwell tank quickly. It can only take 4 hits from a rakettenwerfer. This is one of many handicaps of playing as the British Forces as the workhorse of the armored units gives you lackluster performance

Great guides but do you think the USA guide will continue? Also too bad you didnt go into commander specific units.

Can you do a series on also all the different commanders ?

Great content Hans! I really appreciate your high level thoughts on what units you prefer and how you personally feel about each unit's performance. I know everyone says every faction is OP, but I feel like Brits are the most. IS are ridiculous, and their artillery support is oppressive. Not to mention the possibility of sim city.

It depends to the rank. I know person who once was top 147 (if I'm not mistaken) as Brits, but it was near to impossible for him to get at least top 300 as another factions. But on the high ranks there are opposite situation: strong players know, how maximally use weaknesses of Brits.

@@user-cl4kc4st7z Part of the reason why people might have higher rank with brits than other factions is because less people own and play the Brits. Their ranks are inflated as a result.

is their any thing the comet couldn't do ? what makes the Panther better so it cost 185 fuel ?

I dont understand why the QF17 fixed AT gun seems to not response to enemy tanks coming in outside the arc of fire, its frustrating that i have to micro manage the gun when there is a king tiger shooting the emplacement on the right hand side and the gun just sits there doing nothing pointing at the front

Hans can you make a detailed 2024 style CoH2 video for brit commanders?

Going up against a KT when playing UK i find can be very challenging especially when its used the right way (in 1v1), would you agree hans?

Yeah for sure. You need combined arms and to be careful with your at hubs as the KT can knock them out easily.

I got a little question left. How do u get the Churchill crocodile? Do u need a special commander for it and if yes how can u unlock him and what is this commander named? Thanks for ur help Greetings from Germany

Check the British commanders in the store. There's 3 or 4 with the crocodile.

It's amusing how This Faction have the best tank in the game (Comet) despite being historically least reliant of speedy tanks The army would rather stick with Churchill and Firefly

Well tbf the Cruiser tanks never got the chance to really do their jobs effectly. In North Africa, the British had just lost their tanks in Dunkirk meaning focus was on production rather than development leading to flaws only got found and fixed on the field instead of during trials aka Crusader. In fact, the Cromwell is a 1940 design! That's how delayed tank developement was, not counting that the british only started militarization in 1939 while germany started in 1937 giving them 2 year headstart in experience on how to keep a mechanized army functioning in the real world, instead of a trials field. By the time the Cromwell came out, the only battlefields left were the mountainous Italy, and the Bocage of france, neither of which was ideal tank country especially for tanks that relied on speed. However once out of the Bocage, they performed excellently. Sadly that was during late 44 and early 45. Bare in mind that with the Sherman as the British main tank, the Cromwells were relivated to the Recon units hence why the cromwell ingame has a white diamond, white for vehicles in the recon regiment. Coh2 doesn't really portray a very important military action: exploitation. once the battle has been won, you need something fast to use the time the enemy is weakest and unable to retaliate to punch a hole in the line and push the enemy back as far as serveral miles. In essence, the Churchill is a "tactical" tank while the Cromwell is a "strategic" tank both if which is used in a game set in the "tactical" level of combat.

Just an FYI, the comet tank is one of the worst tanks in the game. It's a late game tank that struggles with heavy armor and doesn't deal with inf as well as the centaur, it's z ability is also totally useless unless you like your engine blown. It will struggle with panthers and anything greater. The Churchill is even worse as it will struggle to P their armor...

You can do as you want. If some strategy allows you to easily beat enemies on your rank - of course you can use it.

Someone care to explain to me why a comets costs less that a panther and is better than it in literally every regards apart from a slight range deficiency. I am a newcomer to the game so I ask was this something the Brits needed back in older patches to compete and it just stuck there until now so these comet tanks feel op in these patches compared to other axis and allies tanks?

The comet tank has worse pen, health, and range than the panther. In return, it has far superior anti-infantry and versatility as well as slightly more armor. The Comet is probably overperforming currently and will get a cost increase if there is a future balance patch.

Maybe because Axis have the best of everything else, literally. I mean Hans stomped Asha who's the top 1v1 British player, Hans used ostrupen. Axis have too many options regardless of commander. Watch how early the Brits were out of that game, they have no early game. AEc is a joke against inf, Hans had X2 skd222 out early and the game was over, as they shred inf unlike the AEc. Panther 4 comes out then upgrades it's armour? Forget the Cromwell, waste of money. Take the Sherman you say? X2 hits and you need to pull back with this very slow moving tank. By the time you need or can afford a comet, the game has passed you. Done even get me started on the useless flack emplacement of the Brits.

@@villasevil1 i dunno man according to most streamers and high rank player i have seen comment on this subject they seem to agree that brits are a bit out of balance. Weak in certain aspects yes (no rocket arty) but everything else is mega broken. When blobbing sections is an actual effective strategy you know something is really fucked up.

@@aziouss2863 watch that Hans v Asha game and you'll see , it's embarrassing that such a strong 1v1 player in Asha with his record gets smashed like that. Play with Brits on the regular and see how many games you win. Nowhere near as many as you would with axis, trust me. I would love to see Hans organise X 2 Brits with him being one and play against equal ranked Axis players, say best out of five and he'd get beat every time.

Because you get panthers for free with the stupid excuse of it being a "medium tank" assuring you a huge advantage over most actually medium tanks, it's a problem that coh1 had too, germans get a panther like it's nothing AND heavier stuff with doctrines, but allies like the USF are stuck with a sherman wich isn't exactly the best against tanks, so if you see a panther you must adapt and use anti tank guns or call in a Jackson. And, if you want a heavy tank for the americans, you HAVE to PAY real money for the commander that has access to it, while germans get tigers, elephants and king tigers as included, free doctrines. So, while you were getting that panther, the UKF actually has to save up for the upgrade to the Comet tank AND it's the most expensive unit for the brits. So stop whining.

Wait, Your commander have 6 Abilites ? wtf ? i have only 5 how to unlock 6 Abilites ? look like Para or something

All commanders have 5 abilities. Helping Hans is using a mod to manipulate commander abilities for the purpose of the video.

Brits are so broken op compared to other allies and axis ! The comet alone has more abilities that the entire USSR USF and AXIS COMBINED !

@@abyaktawibisono895 what? In the sand pit maybe but not in this game. Cromwell v Panzer 4 will lose every time especially when they have upgraded armour and Cromwell's bounce 30% of their shots. You saw in that video the Cromwell shot first and died first right? Then tries to convince you it's an excellent tank. Lol

@@amaratc Overall, the Panzer IV has a near-perfect mix of speed, armor, and firepower compared to most other tanks. More expensive than most allied equivalents, the Panzer IV is usually somewhat superior to them, and more importantly, has a lower tier requirement and is therefore more likely to be fielded before the enemy rolls out their own medium tanks. One multiplayer tactic is to flood the enemy with a spam of Panzer IV medium tanks, as they are quite powerful, versatile, and potentially devastating in numbers
