Do you live in a city with Meetup groups? There are often board game Meetup groups or you could start your own! Just an idea. I know how hard it is to make friends as an adult.

Question. In a similar game with music, if you have three cards of one genre, you can trade them in to steal a genre from the opposing team. Is this legal in blockbuster?

I wish this wasn’t only 4+ players for someone who lives in a 3 person household

I bought this game to play after Thanksgiving dinner. We had SO MUCH FUN! 4 adults and 2 teens. We didn’t keep track or did the strategy so we played for a while. Drawing complete blanks on the actual title of a movie while your playing the head to head round was a common theme amongst our group but we had many laughs and lots of fun.

Hey need rule clarification when challenging an opponents answer in head vs head dose have to be the newest answer or can u challenge a previous answer before also can u challenge an opponents answer after giving out an answer? Need help plz

Has to be the most recent answer, if you give your next answer they're in the clear.

What happens if you dont know anything about the movie that is in your cards? Do you have to place all three cards on the board?

You just have to try your best! You can make up a quote or charades it in the act it out.

Does anyone have a recommendation on playing this with two people? I bought it but I didn’t realize it’s teams.

Just for fun my husband and I will do the head to head cards with the buzzer to see who can be the last one to name a movie before the timer runs out. It’s not the full game but fun like Rock Paper Scissors or something lol

What happens to the cards left on the board if a players team cant guess them all in the 30 seconds?

If both teams are done then these cards get discarded, however if the team after you finishes all their cards in 30 seconds, they get a chance to steal them and try and win extra cards. Hope this helps!

Cervantes444 It looks like you can get it online on Amazon. Or if you have Target stores in Europe, you could find it there or possibly buy from the Target store online and have it shipped to you. (And if you’re wondering, Blockbuster used to be a video store in America, where families could go and rent movies for a few nights to watch and then return them when done. Blockbuster stores are all closed now but it used to be a huge thing before Netflix took over lol)

It depends! On average around 30 mins.

What do you do when no one can guess during the second part of the game? We just took the cards away and started with the head to head part again.

What if you get a card and you don t know what the movie is so you can't quote it/act it/whatever? Just pass?

You can make up a quote as long as you don't say the name of the film!

It would be cool if the yellow card backs had a bit of art to look like cars. 😊 Just ordered from John Lewis in UK.

They no longer give you the buzzer. instead you're supposed to download an app from them to use the buzzer. I get trying to keep profits high but Kinda disappointing :/ at least I kept the reciept

Sorry to disappoint you, we're looking to remove as much plastic in our games as possible at the moment and decided the buzzer was not needed to be a physical component.

I coach basketball at the 15-17 age group. Last year, i was driving some players home and we got a whole video game discussion going. At one point, i said "man, i remember going to Blockbuster to rent games" and my players said "What's blockbuster?" FYI, i'm 28 (as of this post). I felt old in that moment...
