Good informative video, thanks! Normally you can set Anisotropic Filtering to max 16 without a problem...it won't impact the performance that much.

Great video once again (I subscribed several seconds ago). I'm currently using AC with Riftcat on my phone but now that I know I can use the PSVR on my pc, I will buy one. I do have one question about it: is the depth perception/immersion with Trinus PSVR the same or close to the same as on the PS4? 'cause I remember that it's not as good on mobile VR as Riftcat and I really want it to be that as good as on the PS4 now that I tried a PSVR at a local electronics store.

I followed your instructions to a t on your other videos on how to set up Trinus and managed to get the VR headset working, and AC works just fine with a game pad in single screen mode. My problem is when I try to launch a race in VR, all controls seem to be disabled. No mouse, no keyboard, no gamepad. All are completely unresponsive. The game looks fine and the headset operates as intended complete with head tracking, I just can't do anything other than sit in the pits and look around. I imagine this is what it would be like to be a full-body cripple trying to start a car. Any idea what could be causing this? Any hint at all would be appreciated.

Hey, man! Thanks for the vid! I've been wanting to get a PSVR for GT Sport, but also want to play games like AC and PC2 with VR on PC, so this video really solves that problem. I just wanted to ask; do you have both PSVR and OR or the Vive? If so, does the PSVR experience with AC on PC look exactly the same (with the exception of graphical sharpness, of course)? Is it a fully true VR experience, or something that feels emulated? Sorry for the detailed question, but $400 plus is a plunge in its own right. Cheers!

+Pyxel Pub I also have the Rift and I can tell you that aside from very minor differences in the resolution (hardly noticable), any game that is meant for VR plays just as well on the PSVR as it does on the other headsets. Now with the positional tracking solved as well, the gap has closed considerably. Thanks for watching!

Hey JRae! I almost raised the money for a PSVR, am excited as all hell (fact that I keep rewatching these vids isn't helping, haha), and I just wanted to ask a couple of questions to finally help me figure the last bits out. 1) What's your PC Specs? I'm running on a GTX970, is that enough to run at 120fps for VR? 2) Do you need the PS Camera for this to work? I don't have a normal camera, and I'm not going to be using PSVR on PS4 soon, so this is going to be mostly for PC, so will I need the PS camera for this to work? As always, thanks for your time!

Paul Weatherley in assetto corsa using look left and right at the same time re-centers your view also good for wheel users.

So can you use the thrustmaster wheel/pedal setup with the VR?

Some people were complaining about the VR headset giving out the same stretched quality as it does on the recording. Has someone fixed this? Wanted to know if this setup works well for im gonna invest into a PSVR just for Assetto Corsa. IM using a GeForce 1050ti and wanted to know also if itll cut it for this headset?

sooo i've come as fast as to get my PSVR running (tho it's very all over the place) and i can get my POV in AC, but my mouse won't work so i can't leave the pits menu and actually drive, any fix ?

Thx for the great video! I've got only one nifty problem with AC and PSVR! Sometimes it refuses to start while trinus psvr is running and it starts only if I shut steam vr down. Do someone here know a solution to this problem? Everything else is running fine with trinus and psvr.

If your monitor does not support it, then I don't think it is possible.

old post , but if your still trying ...set display window to full screen on project cars for you to be able top see it in your headset

I think you should disable vsync, otherwise it's locked 60 fps and thats not optimal for vr

How do you get that good calibration. For me theres always some mismatch ingame. I need to stare upwards to get a proper view angle.

There's an option ingame in "Onboard settings" called seat pitch if I dont remember bad, that should fix ur problem

I use PSVR with Assetto Corsa PC and it work well. I only have a problem with centering. During a race the view goes out of allignment and I have to turn my head or reset the view. Have some solution? Thanks.

Easiest way to fix that is to bind the reset view key to something that is easy to reach... I use the ~ key because it is easy to find on the keyboard. You can add the reset key binding in Trinus and set it to whatever you want. Thanks for watching!

I did this and it helps me during the game, but, sometimes, when I hit the reset key, Trinus reset the view in a wrong position.

hi there, i have just the headset, no move controllers, no tracking. running on a GTX970 (i5 3,5Ghz 16gb RAM). thanks for all the amazing vids btw, they got me this far but now that it runs. it seems to be perfect only if i keep my head still. as soon as i look from side to side there's horrible juttering which makes it unplayable. is this vsync being incorrectly set? i see settings for it in assetto and in trinus but i have no idea what i'm doing. is it refresh rate maybe? the lack of proper tracking? it only shows on the headset btw, not on the second screen i have on, that stays supersmooth. any help would be greatly appreciated! keep up the good work sir.

well just switched from triple screen to VR and face the same damn issue :( I tried now many things from disabling/setonlow everything in the assetto corsa settings with Vsync on/off and every available refresh rate of the PS4VR headset and every possible trinusVR settings and still having this issue! I hope I will find a solution the next few hours! I want to race!!!!! EDIT: Well I solved the ISSUE!! It's not perfect but definitely reduced by 95%! In my Case, I use 2 x GTX970 and usually, SLI is active. By deactivating SLI it fixed the issue!

Your in car registration looks how i see the game inside the psvr! Do you have some idea?

He means that, what we see on the video (how it shows on your screen) is how he actually sees it VR.

I use iVRy but the game is a little pixely and I’m the distance the quality isn’t great. I sometimes also get just a red/pink screen

Got the PSVR, and thanks to your vids, got the damn thing running (finally)! One question though; for some reason I can see the task bar while trying to play the game in PSVR, how do I make it go full screen and get rid of that annoyance? As always, thanks for your time, J!

JRaeGames fixed it! Had nothing todo with VR at all, but for some reason the second screen was set to have the task bar locked. Also, you excited for Skyrim VR on PS4, or are you just gonna play the PC version ? I'm still not sure if the PS4 version is exclusive or not.

JRaeGames I tried playing it on PS3 and bought it on x360 and PC, but never got sucked in enough. This time, i k is it's literally gonna suck me in, so I'm super thrilled that I never played that game fully before!

In my pc works fine but the image is ampliated, its normal? Have any option to config the screen?

AMD Drivers keeps crashing when I start a race.

This is regarding playing Minecraft VR, I just wanted to comment on a newer video so you might see it. Whenever i launch Trinus, it's all good, everything works fine, when I launch Minecraft, it stays in that place with all the grey grids and things. Any solution? P.S. I am definitely using the right profile (vivecraft) Edit: it is also asking me to use direct mode but every time I enable it, it doesn't detect the headset anymore

Hmmmm that is strange. Try updating your graphics driver and make sure you are using the latest version of vivecraft. Run Trinus and SteamVR in administrator mode and see if that helps. Let me know how you make out.

Ok, so I tried that, all drivers are up to date, I ran it as administrator but now the problem is that minecraft is launching, but it's not displaying in the vr window, the gyroscope still works it's just that it's not in vr. Also, minecraft crashes after a few minutes and I get an error saying that I don't have enough memory, I'm assuming this is talking about RAM, and I have 6GB of it. Beginning to think that my computer simply isn't good enough (Toshiba Satellite Pro- Intel Core i5-3230M CPU Processor, 6GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT 740M GPU)

Hmmm... sounds strange. It is possible that you may not have enough juice to run it. I will look into solutions and see if I can find anyone experiencing the same issues.

Thank you for your awesome video(s) ! Now having solved the AC VR, which is working great, i have a porblem getting PC2 to run, i start the game via steam and the loading symbol appears in PC2 (on the PSVR) but as i enter the menu, my loading screen disappears and my psvr shows my steam panel in VR, whereas my display 1 shows the game normally as in 2D mode, does anyone have the same problem here? i don't find anybody on the web with the same problem, so i thought maybe posting here can help :) Cheers

There was another viewer who commented on Project Cars that was having the same problem. It is possible that PC2 may just not be compatible with this setup. I will see if I can find more information to help you out... thanks for watching!

Pretty much the same requirements as it takes to run the game itself... you may have to drop the quality a bit for better framerates but it works great. Most importantly, you need a GPU that has HDMI output capability. Thanks for watching!

I tried the setup with assetto in mind, did the vr test on steam and my gpu ( amd 6670 2gb) is the weak link. Vr works but is very laggy when turning head so imo you'd best make sure you have a gpu that's capable of running it before you invest any money. Unless I've done something wrong and someone can advise how I can get it working smoothly?

hey James, think a reinstall and reboot solved part my problem last night. Turned on my pc today and it just kinda worked!, but if come out the track for any reason I have to restart steamvr and assetto corsa to get it working again. Also realise I need a better gpu as it seems I'm locked to 40fps with some minor but constant stutter in game, which version of trinus do you use?. also revive fired up on its own and updated not sure if this was a final fix.

Kinda got it working now after a reinstall of steamvr and trinus then rebooting, but had no headtracking. Then today I switched on my pc started everything up and revive updated, it's not run before now then I loaded assetto as I watched your video, now it seems to work first time but if I leave the track ie alt-tab or something I lose hmd signal and have to restart everything again. Also realised I need a better gpu as I seem locked to 40fps with minor but constant stutter/flickering, your help yesterday was awesome dude many thanks :)

JRaeGames Hey James I'm still having problems getting a good image and headtracking working together, steamvr prompts me to make compositor full screen and when I do I loose headtracking!. I had it working on my gtx 750ti albeit very leggy with low fps, but now I have a gtx 1070 and just can't get it all together again :(.

I start my pc, then Trinus psvr, then steamvr and finally assetto corsa, I run assetto in Open vr mode and load up a track. I have a headtracked image on my monitor but if I try sending it to hmd I loose headtracking and the HMD displays nothing but red!!!, and if I send it back to the monitor I still have no headtracking:( please help if possible. Also revive updated again when I setup new card like when I had it working on my old card but this time it won't display in hmd.

If I have de crack game it works?

Go to the SteamVR folder and right click the executable file. Go to properties and turn on the "Run as Administrator" checkbox.

Hey James I know I asked before but how would you recommend connecting psvr to my pc, got a new GPU now with 1 HDMI, 1 DVI-D and 3 display ports. Previously I was using dvi-d to vga for desktop and HDMI for psvr, but pc kept prompting to set resolution the same even tho they were. Ordered some DP to hdmi adapters but for now how is best to connect?, also I didn't have to sent the game to the HMD when I got it working and when I tried to send it everything locked up and had to restart all programs and game!!!.

Hmmm... I am using a two monitor setup (one on DVI-D and one on VGA), my PSVR is hooked up into the GPU HDMI port. Seems to work well for me, the only issue I find is when I restart the computer it tries to use the HDMI (PSVR) as my primary display so I disconnect before restart. Personally, I like to shut everything down before each VR session and I run Razer Cortex to make sure everything is running fast. Works great!

tried my dvi-d and the adapter doesn't fit my new gpu so trying it set up exactly as psvr should be using the pass through on the Breakout box. Edit using pass through only gives a distorted image of part of the desktop :( oh well guess I'll have to wait for the Display port adapters.

I am using integrated graphics... My GPU is a Geforce 970 and it handles the PSVR and main display. My second monitor runs off the motherboard's VGA port. Everything plays together pretty nicely.

Looks like the FOV is set pretty high, try lowering it for a less stretched look.

That is just how it displays on a flay display... looks great in the headset.

Hey man! My steamVR (no matter what I do) only says that it is in standby mode, and that I need to put my headset on in order for it to work even though I have my headset on my head. I can't get it to say ready like yours does

Oh, and another thing, my monitor runs through the only hdmi port on my graphics card. therefor I cannot both my psvr hdmi and my monitor hdmi through my graphics card at the same time

Just tried this out. Couldn't believe how bad the quality was. Unplayable imo it was that bad looking. Looked like a large pixel 80's game. Also made me feel really really sick. Starting to get buyers remorse :(
