Great video! (of course!). 🍅 Tomatoes are my favorite, always. Glad you made this video of determinate Romas. So many things can go wrong, and I'm glad you pointed that out, and what to do. I've enjoyed Miss Nancy's inclusion of flower close-ups, and her recipes. And now we hear that Miss Nancy is going to do more recipe videos?! Hurray!! I'm really looking forward to watching and trying them! Good health and happiness to you and yours! See ya next time!

I learn soo much from you, even if gardening is just a hobby. I need this hobby for mental health therapy. My fathers family were gardeners and I watched as a child and gardening finally caught up with me in the past years (it just hit me)! I love it. I have a container garden in a very small space in South Miami, FL. I tried sowing lemon grass seeds ha, ha, got one seedling out many seeds. (oh well, I'll take the one). I just repot it yesterday on April 1, 2022, praying it grows on. Thanks for all that you give. Happy growing. (Veteran, USAF)

1 year frost was imminent, I grabbed all the maters. So many green. Green Tomato Jelly 1st: just make up like any jelly, add jello to flavor, the green tomatoes add a zesty flavor! Made lots of relish (RUMMAGE RELISH) with all the stuff leftover & the ugly bits of vegetables diced similar sizes. All summer I froze thse extra bits & pieces. Each year the relish tastes different, depending on what u have left end of year. And the colors!

Why is it Mr Hollis that the rain can wet the leaves but when we water with the hose, we don’t wet the leaves? I’ve always wondered about that. I so appreciate all you wealth of knowledge and encouragement. I’m growing Romas for the first time this year. Hoping to have enough to do sauces. I’m glad to know to pick them all at the same time. While I’ve grown tomatoes for many years, this will be my first determinate ones. God bless you both. Oh and thank you for telling us about bt for the worms. 🍅 ♥️👩‍🌾☀️

And to think I started them from just one seed! Wow I'm shocked myself lol but yeah so far I have over 40 tomatoes growing and plan to grow more I don't know exactly what I'm gonna do with them but but something just keeps telling me to keep on going just keep growing till I can't no more and I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart bc this really excited me

If I could make a wish, then it would be for Nancy to have her cooking channel. It is so lovely to see how all the riches are transformed into nutritious delicious food 🌻 Will be growing some of my tomatoes in grow bags this year, so it is really helpful to see how to do it. Had no idea I need to add so much calcium! ❤

We decided not to do separate channels. All our videos relate directly to our homestead and simple self sufficient lifestyle. On our channel you will see vegetable gardening, homestead animals, fishing, DIY builds for gardening and cooking from the garden to the table. We are trying very hard to provide the story of living on a homestead ❤️. Be sure to watch our channel this Sunday, Nancy has a new cooking video coming your way👍

I love the farm hand … I have a fluffy white farm hand / homestead boss … she does a great job inspecting everything and making sure I do what needs to be done here !!! Those kids don’t play when it comes to growing their food (and I make my dogs food myself with mostly vegetables I pressure can with some chicken or beef so she has healthy food every day) !!! The dog is so cute I love how it’s allowed to “help”

Yes indeed🐶. We starting making his dog food here on the homestead as well. He gets a little turkey or chicken meat mixed with a little rice and some of his favorite cooked veggies. He loves carrots, sweet potatoes and peas. He always gets a couple of fish dinners when we go fishing. He LOVES fish. ❤️🐶❤️

Get a black light flashlight. They sell for less than $10 @ walmart. Go out after dark and shine on plants, those pests shine so you can remove them. I've been told it works on most insects. Sure does a bang up job on horn worms!

I found your channel maybe a week or 2 ago. I appreciate your videos and your beautiful farm! I bought my 1st bag of Black Kow yesterday :)! I'm in zone 6b, so plants won't go in containers for another month, but seedlings are going strong inside :). Have you ever grown Kelloggs Breakfast tomatoes? They may not be great for sauce, but they make the best grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches ;)
