How to Plane with a Router (Or Joint/Flatten)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I'll go over my setup and how to plane with a router. This router planer table is large, adjustable and made from extruded aluminum. I am able to plane large wood slabs with my router very easily! I will mention that this setup isnt cheap though, see below for a quick cost breakdown.
For inspiration and great ideas please visit 8020.net or openbuilds.com . They both have great resources and support to build whatever you could need. Extruded aluminum is great for all kinds of things like work benches, storage, obviously cnc’s, etc.
Cost Breakdown:
40/40 extruded aluminum 8’ lengths = $68/each
80/40 extruded aluminum 8’ lengths = $123/each
Linear Bearings = $62/each
M8 Pan Head Screws = $13
M8 spring nuts = $26
40 series corner brackets = $18
M8 leveling feet = $15

Sounds good! Definitely check out openbuilds. Lots of good info there to make improvements and upgrades to this thing. I’m hoping to try and automate mine one day soon. So stay tuned for maybe a part two haha?
