This video show you how to plan a full auto VTOL mission with our HBS Long Range VTOL. Please note that there are custom setting in the autopilot parameters to enable the UAV to fly this mission.
Similar to it's full scale counterpart, the most critical phase of the whole mission flight are take off and landing. Please pay attention and fully understand the specific commands required.
For pilot who can comfortably fly a fixed wing RC airplane, you can always take off in VTOL mode such as "QLoiter" then switch to "Auto" and start the mission. Similarly, once the UAV is within visual range, you can always take over the control and fly in "FBWA" mode then switch to "QLoiter" or "QHover" for vertical landing. This will save you from all the hassle to add the additional commands.
If you have reasonable open field, we always recommend to plan for a full auto mission. Pilot can take over the control anytime if needed.
