    Does your editing program have mono/stereo settings? Check that. If it's looking for a stereo source, and you're recording in mono then you'll have a bad time, as well as vice versa.

Only tip I can give, and have to remind myself every time, is just to put your effin feet on the board - ie don't worry about the flip or scoop or anything so much as landing with two feet. The end kind of blew my mind. I've been getting so hung up on if my front foot is too angled, or if my back foot isn't off enough... Then you go and land bolts with your feet in all kinds of crazy positions. Totally changed my thinking.

  • @LazyEinstein
    @LazyEinstein6 жыл бұрын

    Your second "worst foot position possible" is actually great for high-speed long gaps(Front foot pretty much on the bolts. You can get it a little higher that way and the flip slows down a bit so you aren't catching your tre like 0.5 seconds after popping and then having to catch, hold, and flow down the gap for the other two.

    That's where I screwed up! Finally landed 3 at my local park but took the week end of due tonrwsponsibilities and it's like I never landed them. Cool thing was others were there and gave me mad props when I landed them. The very 1st one I landed had a crazy tic tac in order to stay on but I took. The next was a toe drag but my roll away speed never slowed a bit. The 3rd was bolts with a much slighter one time slight re-adjustment of front truck by like an inch maybe two. Hoping to get back to that point this week but I am back classes and well , time management can be a bummer.

    i once landed a sketchy treflip way back in 2006 when i was a teenager it was like my proudest moment in skateboarding. Yesterday i picked up a new board starting over at age 29. i hopefully will stand this trick once more by the end of the week .At least this is my goal. Yesterday i did a fakie bigspin first try it got me so hooked on skateboarding again beacuse it felt so natural.I was in my element again.skateboarding is more addictive than anything and even if you don´t actively skate for a time skatebaording never ceases to be relevant to ones heart and mind like stopping and watching everytime one is seeing other people killing it on the board and getting a dumb fat grin on ones face while cheering for them.I Am so lucky i had skateboarding as way of selfexpression throughout my whole life .i Got my first skateboard way back 96/97 i basically took it everywhere since then all the time even at school i had it with me.this went on until like 2007 afterwards i was on and of the board until now never manged to skate more than a few month in a row due to life happening to be very demanding.since we are in Covid-19 shutdown i might as well make good use of my time and fully commit to skateboarding one more time. Sorry for the Wall of text btw.

    for me putting my front foot further up the board right below the rear two bolts helped me flip the board so much easier compared to putting it further down but that's from my own experience experiment with foot placements

    This is something I surprisingly learned for myself, most videos say to put it further back but basically kickflip position is where I've been having the most success. Although tbh I often land ahead of the board, so I either need to figure out to lean back further or try to learn again with my front foot further back to help shift more of my weight back. It's such an awkward position to ride in that I tend to find when I watch footage of my attempts that my neck cranes forward to move my head to try to balance me out, because having all that weight on my back foot even just for the pop feels extremely awkward and unnerving.

    I lost mine for a good three weeks when I went up to a 8.38 and it was making me so angry but I figured out I was leaning forward way to much and it was making me flick against the scoop I bought a 8.125 and got my tre flips back it feels great. I just do a 360 pop shuv and flick in front of me.

    At 3:02 when Jonny is showing how to scoop the back foot, it looks like the scoop is angled a bit, but at 3:22 it looks like the scoop is supposed to go straight back (not in an angle). I am curious about what the correct way is to do the trick, maybe it's just personal preference? Great video!

    i would say it's a personal preference either way if i scoop straight back or a little angled it works. try to figure which way works best for you :)

    I'm learning tres right now and I find the the scoop is more of a flick of the ankle rather than the whole leg and the board is scooped more with the toes rather than your entire foot.

    I can get the board rotation down everytime but the board always lands about 6-9 inches too far behind me. My rear foot will land on the board but my front foot will land just in front of the nose. Do I need to lean back a bit more as I do the scoop? When I do them fakie this doesn't happen.
