    Seems almost like that could be its own filter instead of doing a bunch of fluffing about with layering etc.

    Kind of a pointless feature as you would have started with the pencil phase to begin with. Feels like something that people would just take random pictures then use the filter to make it look like they tried to trace. At most, I could see this being used on 3D models, but those have their own line art features already.
