Thank you so much for the tip. My house had a significant number of ceiling fans that had not been mounted securely according to my neighbor. The last owner fixed them, but only filled the old holes with mud. We had round blocks slowly falling out of place during humid months. Was absolutely driving me crazy.

Simplified fix and time saving with excellent result. Doing that exact fix today. Thank you for your time spent sharing.

What do I do if I have a sewer pipe right above the hole? No way to put a piece of wood in. 4 " by 4 " hole.

Why not countersink all the screws and mud over all of them? Thanks good video

The stir sticks most likely split thus not having enough strength to allow the screws to be countersunk.
