    Can you please guide that do we need any kind of clinical experience for mrcs part B as part A can be given after mbbs but I have heard that we need at least 1 year experience for part B is it true?

    Hello dr I'm currently in my final year of mbbs in pakistan. I'm planning to sit for part A during my housejob and sit for part B after completing my housejob and also some experience as an surgical medical officer. Is it a good way to go?

    Depends upon experience but mostly start as SHO/FY2/CT1/CT2/ST1/ST2 . Which skills are you talking about ?

    What is the best time to have an OET certifate plus, how long after Part B is it required since it expires with in 2 years e.g do they ask for OET after clearing Part B? Thank you for your help

    It is required for GMC registration post MRCS , so you may plan accordingly

    1: No exp required 2: St3 application is a competitive stage which includes portfolio and interview and MRCS is on of the compulsory requirement for that

    Dear sir, my part B OSCE is booked with RCS, Ireland which is considered an overseas institute by GMC. Would you be able to tell whether MRCS (Ireland) is acceptable for core surgical training in the UK similar to how it is for the 3 UK royal colleges?

    There are four RCS colleges , all give degrees independent degrees but all have equal acceptance.

    There is no such coaching institutes but courses which help you pass and acclimatise with exam scenarios . To name a few are Reda course , Salah course , Doctor academy course . All are good

    I have found Edinburgh to be good at communication . Yes you can send original picture via email but please confirm from college as they may change rules

    Yes eg as far as I know Edinburgh college is only conducting in Pakistan , but these can change as well

    My dear brother , Great information I'm from Pakistan completed my housejob recently , 1. Can I give Mrcs Part A directly after my housejob? 2.will I have to move to UK for courses I mean what u said in video that people working in Nhs have High passing rate so won't plab be a better option then mrcs I mean it soley depend on person to person but If you would choose than what will be your priority?     1: yes 2: Course are online these days , Yes as MRCS is requirement for surgical training so you will be competing with those who are already in NHS system , but don’t many people pass and sometime uk trainees struggle as well Plab is oversubscribed these days , whereas mrcs is readily available to book
